Hi. I now have a piece of bulk mail in my bulk mail folder that originated from a vendio domain spamming address. Both the subject line and the sending email address are obviously computer generated bogus data made up from my vendio ID and email address.
While no one can keep a spammer from generating email bylines from a screen name or email address, this one apparently originated/was sent from within the vendio.com email domain. That means you may have someone using CM to spam vendio.com email addresses using their CM account. Could you check on that and get back to me at your convenience? Can you trace it backward if there is a vendio person sending this unsolicited stuff from one vendio account to another. If so, is there any way to institute sanctions and stop this misuse of your software?
Please take a look at the bulk mail example in my bulk mail inbox with the subject starting with "wichita". Thanks!
The spam email has been automatically generated with a fake address resembling your Vendio address, so that you cannot trace its sender.
To check its real origin you can click the link "View Full Message with Header" on the message page. In this email's case, you can see that it does not come from the vendio.com domain but from some .fr domain. Other spammers, though, might hide even header lines...
