I think yahoo needs a complete overhaul before they even half think of fees.it sounds like they are more concerned about their stock price then makeing money.who in their right mind would give yahoo a fee in all the useless catagories they have ? we have over 200 auctions and due to a ghost town atmosphere at yahoo we are foeced to pull out of yahoo for good. all these sites seem to forget we are listing to make money NOT for fun or to lose money

This is true. #1 Get rid of the jumbled listings. #2 Make CC Verification optional. If we are paying to list, sellers should have the option of choosing wether or not bidders have a credit card on file.
*I'm assuming Yahoo is only charging listing fees and not a final value fee. If they are charging listing AND final value, I would return to eBay or list on Lycos for free.
Also, 20 cents to $2.25 seems a little extreme considering the lack of traffic on Yahoo. 10 cents across the board would generate a lot revenue, and would still make Yahoo a bargain compared to eBay.

yea i'd hang around yahoo for .10 but .20 is to extreme for me.its still a ghost town at yahoo but we just started makeing a few bucks the last couple months and now they will turn yahoo back into a ghost town again.i'm going to shift all my 260 auctions from yahoo to epier as they close to bad yahoo choose this path.i remember when amazon started it was .10 that was cool.

I have almost 200 auctions currently listed on Yahoo! Auctions alone. They all will end tomorrow evening, and so will my listing items on Yahoo! Auctions. Even though I could relist them prior to the 10th, I will not. I realize not everyone has the ability to walk away from a site that ignores our pleas, or fails to correct problems, that are impacting our sales. But I'm out of there. I will list on the other free sites and maybe help them to improve traffic to their sites.
I know it is not easy, but if you are able to do so. The best message you can send to Yahoo! Auctions, for their lack of respect for our suggestions, (while at the same time putting fees on us), is to close down all of your auctions when they expire. If a massive number of sellers withdraw and go elsewhere, the impact on Yahoo! Auctions will surely show them the error of their ways. If it doesn't, I feel, they will get what they deserve. Just watch their stock then.

We will be leaving as well. It was a good run though, we made a few bucks and learned a lot. Yahoo had a lot of potential here and now they have shot themselves in the foot. Looks like they are more interested in their stock price, then their customers. Like the saying goes: "If you build it, they will come." And people did come, but if a majority of the sellers leave, there will be nothing to attract the buyers, and in turn nothing to attract new sellers...
I have little to complain about Yahoo when it was free, because it was free! There were a lot of good sellers, a small band of good buyers, and a lot of deadbeat buyers. And compared to Ebay, it was a virtual ghost town, but it was free! There was no customer service support and the only risk was the effort & time you (the seller) put in. But now, to charge full-service for self-service??? I don't think so.
May be Yahoo will reconsider in the near future, but in the mean time, see all of you at Lycos!

Amen jumpup! Ever try to post a video there? they have more categories then Block Busters. And the comic book titles are very outdated. Sure, they have a catagory for the X Men, but also for heroes that haven't been popular since the 50's, like Captain Marvel!
