I would like a serious answer to this question. At the Yahoo Chat this morning/afternoon it was pointed out by the mediator that the fees were being charged only the people selling in the United States. Canada/Great Britian/Germany, etc were exempt from these charges. When I asked the mediator why only US auctions it couldn't/wouldn't give me an answer.

Easy. Take a look at the Yahoo Canada site (antiques and collectibles categories, for example). Traffic almost zero. Sales probably zero. No need for a seller to feature any auctions as their listings may be the only listings in their chosen category. The Canadian site is probably at the same state the U.S. site was 2 or 3 years ago. I assume that when the Canadian site has the same traffic the U.S. site has now, fees will apply.
