Below is my reply to Yahoo customer service in response to them closing my auction.
To whom it may concern,
I know you are getting lots of emails today and I am but one voice in the crowd but I must make my feelings known.
Your new listing fees will put me and many others out of business if you implement them as planned. The $300 a month is would cost me to list auctions on yahoo would be the same as renting a small storefront in the Detroit area. Or, I could rent tables at a major show here and get more "views" in a weekend then I sometimes get in a week on Yahoo. I will agree to one of the following A. 20 cents one time B. a final value fee of up to 10% with NO listing fee or C. a 10 cent one time listing fee along with a 5% commision. I appreciate the service Yahoo provides and even went as far as being banned from Ebay for promoting your site. I have shown you good faith and loyalty. All I ask is for some of that in return. I realize you must appease your stock holders. I do wonder though, how many of them actually put the time in to make yahoo a wonderful place by supporting things like clubs, auctions and the like. I appreciate that in the real world it comes down to dollars and sense. But this plan makes no sense and you will LOSE dollars. Just my opinion and I know I am not alone.
Hoping to still be faithfully yours,
Tony Engelberg
