Everyone needs to sign this-I just did. It probably won't do any good, cause no one's listening! But at least I got my two cents worth in.

Petitions did not work with eGREED and won't work with YaGREED either. They think that sellers will pay whatever they want to charge because eGREED sellers do. What YaGREED fails to realize is that most of their sellers were listing on Yahoo because they refused to play the games on eGREED. Sellers were stabbed in the back on eGREED and won't argue and beg to get YaGREED to change their minds- they will just move to other auction sites.

I was very loyal to eGREED before the extortion (reserve) fees were announced - even during the "great crash" when eGREED was down for three straight days. The extortion (reserve) fees cost them my loyalty- and they didn't even care. Now with Yahoo - I didn't have that much loyalty to begin with (thanks to eGREED) so I have no problem just moving on without even trying to reason with them (they won't listen - except to their "bean counters" that told them how much $$$ this would make for them)

Bottom line: Yahoo LIED when they said auctions would ALWAYS be free- and I have no intention on trusting anything they say ever again. They LIED once, they will LIE again. They are dishonest and can never be trusted.

Having done battle with Yahoo support in the past, I can honestly say that all the signatures in the world won't do a thing. Neither will posting negative comments on your homepage.

The only thing that will get Yahoo to either change their fee policies (I would support a closing fee IF they made buyers keep a certain amount in escrow, to get rid of scammers) is to close your accounts.

Not just your auction accounts but all of your e-mail, clubs, etc. They charge advertising fees based on how many people are registered, and how many hits they receive on a regular basis. As long as they get either, they won't pay attention to anything we say.

Remember, they were once a search engine. They started the e-mails, auctions, clubs, and all of the other stuff to get people to go there more often, generating hits for them.

Without us, they can't get the advertising fees they need to stay around.
