I guess they got the emails working again. Here is the one I received regarding my protest auction.
Your auction, "Yahoo ID and Account; Free Email + Bonus Feedback"
(48067004), has been has been Closed: by our Customer Care
group after reviewing the auction in response to the number of reviews
received by the Yahoo! Auctions Neighborhood Watch program.

The reasons expressed by users were:
0 thought your item was an Adult Item.
0 thought your item was Spam.
0 thought your item was in the wrong category.
1 thought your item violates the TOS.

Please note that this action has been recorded by Yahoo!
and that subsequent violations could result in suspension of
your rights to use Yahoo! Auctions.

I was under the impression you had to be reported by several and I still want some to tell me exactly what TOS I am violating.

I got another CANNED Administrative Warning about listing protest auctions. I emailed them back this time and told them to try real statements instead of the normal canned emails. I want to know which TOS I violated as I have referred to their TOS several times in the past few days and see nothing!!!!! I gave them 48 hours to give me a definate answer to what I had violated or I will be turning them over to Consumer Affairs for making threatening messages to me. I am beginning to think they did us sellers a great service as I don't believe these are the type of people with which I care to do business with.

I think they are trying to cover themselves by making it look like other people were offended by the auctions. I was under the impression you had to be reported by several people before they took action against an auction. Oh, well 48 hours and I turn them into consumer affairs. Got four free tires a few years back doing that. I think the way they are handling things is awful. I am wondering how much of a threat they are feeling by these auctions that they are responding as such.

i am sure Yahoo had to expect a lot if not most of the sellers to jump ship but on Pootah.com auction i do have a domain name list fairly cheap!!"YahooAuctionsSuck.com" HAHAHA.. if i don't get the views on it i will place it on Ebay

sure i'll let ya know.. i should copy my feedback too.. only thing i don't like about pootah auctions is that they utilize Honesty.com for image hosting and stuff and not Auctionwatch... and that's all i need.. one more account to my list of many!!

That's exactly what Yahoo is doing - making it "appear" that users are complaining. It coincides with all the other negative things they're doing and is par for the course. It's evident in the fact that you two got the same, identical response. They don't appreciate the bad publicity but you are probably not violating anything and they know that so they have to come up with something. Doesn't surprise you, does it? Not siding with them here in any way, shape or form - they are WRONG!

preciousminutes - Have you asked Pootah if they will bring AW listing on board -or- is this something AW and Pootah have to work out among themselves?

It sounds to me like the Neighborhood Watch busybodies (attempting to be nice here) work for Yahoo or are the same "top rated sellers" that suggested the fees and scrambled listing order.

This really ticks me off. Not once in 4 days would they respond to me as to why I could not get into my PayDirect account. I guess they are too worried over their auctions.

They have their priorities up their YahZoo.

You guys are selling your IDs? Thats great! I wish I thought of that. It's much funnier then some of the fake postings I've seen in protest. You know, the ones that look real "Comic book xxx" or CD of XXX's greatest hits. Then when you go to read the details, its a long letter of protest.

Regarding it taking 3 to "Neighborhood Watch" someone, I though it did too, but look at this thread:

http://www.auctionwatch.com/mesg/read.html?num=6&thread=10305

Recently I had 12 auctions closed for similar stupid, reasons, which make no sense.

Apparently, "ours is not to reason why, ours is but to do or die!"

I didn't even write to complain, I presumed it would fall on deaf ears, or I'd get some pat response which answered a question that I didn't ask.

I have never written Yahoo and gotten an answer to any question; oh I get answers, but it seems they have a roulette wheel, and spin it each time they send out a response, and the response is determined by where the roulette wheel stops!

I am sure all of you have gotten these ridiculous responses; for instance you write asking why your gallery picture isn't showing up, and they respond with a note saying they are glad your e-mail is working!

Thanks for explaining how they get their messages. A few months back my messenger stopped scrolling (never has since either) and I emailed them to try and find out why or if they could help me. I got an email explaining auction rules and how to use the auction site. I just sat there shaking my head wondering. Now I understand it was just a spin of the wheel and don't feel quite so bad. However, I do wonder how a company can expect to stay in business that way. I have started listing on a couple other sites. AuXpal didn't have room for my whole user ID so I shortened it. Yesturday I discovered the had lengthed the box for user id's, emailed them telling them what I had done and that I was trying to keep my user ID the same across the board. Email this morning states "Your user ID has been changed to your requested id. You will no longer be able to sign in with the shortened version." These quick responses and answers to my questions are putting me into shock.
