Listed 4 items on AuXpal this weekend and have a bid on one item already. I am in shock!!!!! But it's okay with me. Listed a few more today.

After further consideration I believe that AuxPal may have the best chance of any of the free sites to be more than just a listing black hole, but I'm going to wait for a while and see. I like one change they have made to their site lately. The x through PayPal.

Unfortunately, right now, I can't find more than a dozen bids (give or take one or two) on the entire site. This may be a dumb question, but if people want these sites to succeed, why aren't more sellers bidding? It seems like everyone is listing and no-one is buying.

I guess if we are all listing and nobody is buying that makes AuXpal the next YaWho! Same story there!

maybe we should mention a "referral" to AuXpal or other auction sites we plan to move to on our last re-listing of the Yahoo items.

dreamgirl: Already been doing that. In every notice I send for finishing up the auctions I had, etc. I let the people know where I am going and why. Why don't you email me at [email protected] I have an interesting idea regarding rounding up (or keeping repeat customers) that you might be interested in.

I have multiple copies of several items and my plan to to list a set on each of the auction sites I've signed up with over the past week.

I don't see where it makes much sense to "wait until someone else gets a bid on their stuff before I post". Much better to help these alternative sites have a greater number and range of items to help get them going.

Anyone else taking this approach?

My usual - typos.

Sure am. I also have a few items that are duplicates. I figure they aren't selling sitting here in my house so I might as well have them listed somewhere. Who knows when the right buyer might go through looking. Getting use to all the different styles, etc though is a pain in the backside.

Don't forget eDeal. I've had some luck with them, and I'm currently trying to switch all of the comic books over to them. I wish I had more notice. I didn't receive the e-mail from Yahoo until the 5th.

Oh well, what can you expect from a company that doesn't enforce it's own negative ratings rule.
