Just found this article regarding the listing fees being imposed by yahoo and of the cancelling of auctions dealing with 'nazi' and hate related items.

http://www.zdnet.com.au/news/dailynews/story/0,2000013063,20107985,00.htm

The skinny on the article: Not only will yahoo make anywhere from 30 to 80 MILLION dollars from listing fees, but it seems that yahoo might start charging fees on other services. They didn't mention specifics, but just think about it. What other free services those yahoo provide? Now imagine one by one those services getting fees imposed on them!

If it's not one thing it's another.

The article also mentions that yahoo stands to loose about half their listings, from 3 million listings down to about 1.5 million.

eBay has about 3.7 million listings.

They also mentioned how well the yahoo stock is doing since the announcement!

I'm not sure where they come up with their listing numbers. In most categories I frequent, Ebay has six times the number of listings Yahoo does.
