What a bunch of gnashing of teeth, renting of clothes, and general P&M'ing over a measley $0.20 fee! Goshes & gollywumpers, chippermonkies, my bids have gone sky-high since all the complainers have deserted my previously over-saturated-with-kaka category! Hooooooray for the listing fees, says I!

Of course, after I've used up my credits, I'm out of BooWhoo faster than poop through a goose!

talk about a complete 180. yahoo doesnt have the traffic to necessitate charging fees. besides by the time you actually sell an item you could have paid more in fees than you got for the item.

Translation: I will only use Yahoo!Auctions if they have FREE LISTINGS. After I use up my freebies, I'm leaving too.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Do you take a dim view of my position?

tomwiii,

Not at all, those sellers that have credits that they can use to obtain free listings should certainly use them although I do wonder just where these buyers are supposed to come from. In fact, it might be a good idea to wait a month or two so you're not caught up in the current listings collapse.

Ummm guys.... Tomwii's first post was tongue in cheek and his second post was a play on words.

Yes, I realized that. But the post really does say alot about the strategies being employed by some sellers. And they don't look good for Yahoo!Auctions.

And, wouldn't you know it, calculating all those percentage declines ... now my calculator's battery is dead.

well I dont know where your bids are comeing from to be honest.

In november my bids on yahoo finilly started moveing up again I was getting two or three wins a week.

SO I said I might as well Relist my stuff that was the 7th and 8th before the fees started guess what not one single bid and veiws have again dropped as well.

yahoo was just starting to look like it might be makeing a turn around for me and with a few words they killed it dead AGAIN.

from May to October I list 100 to 120 items weekly on yahoo made 3 sales all that time.

so I registered on ebay and have been selling both place and sales bidding on ebay is great selling many many items daily on ebay.

november yahoo started picking up on around january 3 bidding and veiws just dropped and nothing since.

I currently have a bid on one of 20 items listed at Yahoo!Auctions. Pageviewers and bidders are few and far between, so I'm fortunate to have gotten this one.

Of course, these 20 listings were free, had listing fees been part of the equation I'd be losing money at Yahoo!Auctions.

I love Yahoo also but it won't work for me anymore. However, I just completed my first transaction on AuXpal and have had three questions regarding other auctions listed there today alone.
