We started posting the site we went to when yahoo! started chargeing a fee.whenever we post a feedback we are stateing in the feedback Dont forget to see our other listings at SNAPRAT.COM auctions.that way your bidders may follow your listings plus it gives the site your listing at some advertiseing as well.and we also state in all our conformation letters the SNAPRAT site with our user id at that site.remember the only way to get bids at any site is to lead the way and what better way then to tell your bidders where your at by all means possible.good luck everyone wherever you end up listing at.

It's tacky. It's one thing to mention the other sites you sell at in your own e-mails, it's quite another to deliberately have the feedback comment advertising the competing site sent out to your buyers unknowingly by Yahoo itself.
However, perhaps you don't mind your buyers knowing that you engage in questionable business practices.

I LOVE IT!!!
Besides, isn't feedback actually a questioable business practice in itself? Do you leave comments on a piece of paper taped to the front door of every place you shop in the real world? It's only a matter of time before a web site is successfully sued for maintaining slanderous feedback on their server, anyway.

ON THE SURFACE , your suggestion sounds okay. BUT, remember, one never wants to "burn all of their bridges," and a miracle could occur where you might want to return to Yahoo, and then you have such comments as a permanent records to face - and you might have to eat a bit of crow in the process.
Personally, I would think a seller should have enough interaction with each buyer to inform them at some point in the sales transaction that you will be moving your auctions. In the process, you can give them the URL, which is much better than just leaving the name of an auction in someone’s feedback, that they have never head of and probably wouldn't take the time to locate the URL to.
ALSO, we always insert a nice colored flier in all our out going packages, which thanks our customer, and tells them about items of interest on our web site. You might think of doing something like that – that is, writing a nice “thank you letter,” and just put in a note that you will be moving many of your auctions to “can’t do diddily.com” and invite your buyer to review your auctions at this new site.
Caution, I personally don’t think going in to a denunciation about Yahoo in your letter would be appro, if I were going to use such, I’d just simply tell them where I am going and invite them to visit you there.

I agree with the majority. I write a final email when an item is sent. I will include a change of venue note in it but won't put it on Yahoo Feedback. There are multiple ways to communicate and I think we should let the buyers know where we are going but not through Feedback.

Why not add your other auction sites links to your ongoing/current auctions? That's what I'm doing with AuXpal - my "new" home. In fact, yesterday they didn't have a link - I e-mailed them and guess what? This morning they do! Hoorah for AuXpal! Customer Service is FANTASTIC. AuXpal is easy for sellers and will be for buyers too - very user-friendly!
