Amazing, but expected at least by us...It's kind of like watching the Fall of Rome. Wonder who in Yahoo marketing is playing the fiddle?

Thanks Dimview, I've been checking in to see the numbers several times a day. With the increase in listing fees at ebay, it's going to be harder for postcard dealers to find a home. Any ideas?
And a question about yahoo: is there a place to see the total number of all auctions on yahoo? Thanks for any info.

Clothing categories are down 31% since 1/9.
It was nice to see that we picked up bids on 3 auctions today. I noticed that it was one of our Ebay customers that missed those items on Ebay. Otherwise, bidding has died since the fees were announced.

Entertainment > Movies > DVD -13,075 | 8,774
And, a large percentage of these are described by the sellers as: "This is a original licensed VCD not CD-R, Back Up or Bootleg. It is playable on computer with CD-Rom or MPEG player, and all brands of DVD player with VCD feature. It is in full screen format and it come with both front and back artwork or inserts."
This, of course, is false advertising under the DVD category. I wonder how many people who are not up on the jargon buy these things thinking they are getting a DVD, then find out what they are really getting is a VCD (Video Crap Disk) ...

Wow! That is kind of cool. You can see it shrinking by the hour. Kind of like an ice cube melting away - only more entertaining. Wish we could start a pool on what percentage of original listings will be left 30 days after the inception of fees. Of course gambling is illegal (maybe one of those offshore bookies in the Caribbean would do it on one of their sites). I think maybe 10% will be left Feb. 10.

Of course the wild card here is how much listing credit people have left from imported feedback. I have a boatload myself which will allow me to keep listing for a long time - and that really skews the numbers. Whatever you see 30 days from now will not reflect that free credit so things will actually be worse than the numbers show.
