I just bid on two items at bidville as a test. I bid above the minimum in both cases and my ACTUAL bid came up as the minimum. Now if I see an item at $1, and I bid $5, shouldn't my bid be registered at $1 instead of $5? If this is what they think proxy bidding is, they are doomed to fail. Guess I'll contact their customer service with this question. Until then, their proxy bidding system, IMO, does not work.

Answered my own question. The problem was that I was bidding on reserve auctions which take your highest bid if under the reserve. Checked with another auction and proxy bidding works fine. So, in the immortal words of Emily Litella, NEVER MIND!
