FORSHOPPIN: Thanks to your suggestion I have found that the most economical way to ship my Moose antlers is INDEED by Greyhound Express!!!
The difference being by OTHER shippers, an average of $260 no insurance, by Greyhound, $40.00.
Everyone else who asked - they have a website at www.greyhound.com
Many thanks to everyone for their help and the jokes were great!

Glad I could be of help. Ship a kid that way everyonce in awhile myself. Destination gramma. <giggle>
Truthfully my late husband used to get doors delivered by them for houses he was working on. I figured if they shipped doors, they would ship just about anything. Good luck!

THANKS! This is one mode of shipping I hadn't considered. I ran over and book marked Greyhound into my shipping folder, but didn't take time to read anything.
If your family has experienced use of the Greyhound shipping, can you tell me if they have insurance, and how much damage, if any, you have experienced shipping in this manor?
For any one who has used/experienced shipping via Greyhound, let me ask, would you risk shipping large breakables via Greyhound? That is such things as antique stain glass windows, or cut crystal lamps?
Appreciate the tip.

I am not sure on the insurance but I would imagine they would have something along those lines as they do a lot of shipping and I wouldn't think they would want to risk law suits by not offering insurance.
In the time we used them for shipping stuff I never had anything arrive late, mangled or damaged. They were always friendly and helpful. The doors were shipped unpackaged, with the shipping tag attached to the handle hole and they were never even scratched.
As with any shipping place be sure to check it out thoroughly and make sure the items are packaged as safely and securely as possible.
