Hi,

I've placed my first bid on an auction in Yahoo. 3 days have gone by since the auction ended as myself as high bidder. In fact it was sort of a fixed price auction where my bid was all that was needed. Now, however, I haven't heard from the seller since the close. It was said that he would contact me and I've looked around and haven't found his e-mail address anywhere.

My question is, was I SUPPOSED to get his e-mail address? How in the world am I supposed to get in contact with this person? I even looked at his "ID" and it showed his e-mail as private. I'm also wondering since it was a fixed price auction whether somebody contacted him and offered him the money and he didn't end the auction.

I'm just really confused about my first bid on Yahoo and am not really sure how to procede, or even whether I'm ABLE to procede. Are my hands tied here?

Thanks for any help that anyone can offer!
Bill

Hi Bill: You have a couple of different options if you have the item page or auction
number return to the item. There you can as
a winning bidder leave comments for your
buyer. I would leave an average for now and
say, Please contact me so I can buy this item I need your email address and instructions. something to that effect and if
the deal goes smoothly after that you can always return back to the item and add new
comments and change the average to excellent,
good, or poor or bad if the seller does not
respond with more time. There is also I believe a spot on the item page to leave
feedback to Yahoo, yahoo help and there you
can check off/ need help contacting seller
and yahoo will forward the message but I believe leaving a comment will be faster.
There is also the ask seller a question option on the item page but I'm not sure if
that works on a closed item page.

just substitute the item number you won on
with the one above and put that in your location bar.

Hey thanks Kim!

I'll probably do it the feedback way as you suggested. Having not sent any money to anyone yet though I doubt I'll try TOO hard to contact this guy...but I would like to at least get a response from him in some way. I hate deals that don't go through to completion, and especially don't like hearing NOTHING from a person whom I'm dealing with! Sorry I'm venting. *L* Thanks again Kimbo! I was hoping somebody could point me in the right direction.
