An excerpt from the January 4, 2001 Yahoo!Chat session:
homer0625 asks: why didn't you ask us for feedback before you decided to do this
y_auctions_guest: All of our product development in Yahoo! is driven by taking feedback from our users.
y_auctions_guest: Many of you have been communicating to us for a long time on how listing fees would improve the quality of the service.
y_auctions_guest: Yahoo! has spoken directly to many top sellers, have been visible and communicating to attendees at many trade shows...
y_auctions_guest: lastly, we'll continue to take feedback from you, helping us to create the best site possible.

Well, I do remember seeing a couple of post right here where people, unhappy with the listing limits, said a fee would be better.
Maybe Yahoo! reps lurk here?????
Could it be AW is were Yahoo! got the FB from it's sellers???????
Or maybe it was just from all those trade shows. Has anyone here been to any trade shows lately????????
OK guys, I wanna know who's been giving all the FB to Yahoo!!!!!!!

More BS from that same transcript:
jimmy166995 asks: Does Yahoo staff ever read message boards at Auctionwatch or Yahoo's own Seller Zone club? Then you would see REAL opinions of everyday users. They are the exact opposite of your alleged "top rated sellers"
y_auctions_guest: We spend a lot of time on all these boards and clubs.
y_auctions_guest: As well, we attend tradeshows, reaching selling communities both online and offline...
y_auctions_guest: and we have category managers in the top categories that are constantly in contact with sellers within that sub-community.
y_auctions_guest: We understand there is a diverse community of millions of sellers, new, experienced, high volume, low volume...
y_auctions_guest: we take into account feedback from all these millions of users.
ROFL at that last sentence! If "millions" of users gave feedback they wanted listings fees why aren't they listing?
90+ % of the AW posts supported FVF's only, the other % NO fees. They certainly are NOT listening to AW boards Sulyn. There's no support for listing fees on the SZ Club board either.

That is good! Are they listening to those sellers NOW? I think the majority of those sellers spoke up loud and clear and the resounding noise was "We are out of here!". Funny, not what I read in those transcripts at all.

Did anyone contact that guy who said his name was Troy with CNET and wanted to talk with the sellers or former Yahoo sellers about the effect the listing fees were having on Yahoo listing? He evidently responded on yesterday's listing numbers that dimview started. He wanted us to contact him at [email protected]. and I was just checking to see if anyone had and what he seemed to be interested in specifically if he was real. I remain...... get ready to play taps......the bow is tilting skyward.

Thanks for the laugh. I have had a TERRIBLE day in my personal life. And for the past month and counting....Yahoo has caused a lot of laughs and cries (I might add).
