I have a handful of auctions to relist on Yahoo, but don't see why I should get 10-day auctions if I can get 14-day auctions using the Bulk Loader for the same listing fee. My questions to those of you who use it are:
1) Can you STILL post 14-day auctions through Yahoo's Bulk Loader, or has it been reprogrammed for 10-days maximum?
2) Is there a MINIMUM of listings that have to be uploaded at the same time through the Bulk Loader?
3) Is there a tutorial somewhere explaining EXACTLY how to write the files on Excel OTHER THAN the explanation Yahoo has posted on their site?

Hi granee!
I haven't listed on yahoo since the imposition of fees, but prior to that the 14-day option was still available.
I have used to bulk load to list as few a 1 listing - so there doesn't appear to be a minimum.
I found excel to be rather limiting and had much better luck with Access - if you have the program and are familiar with it just create a table with 1 field for each column heading - using a memo field for the auction description - and 1 record for each item. When done choose export from the file menu and you can export it as a correct csv file.

I used the bulk loader today and it still takes 14 listings. You can list 1 item if you like with the bulk loader.
I think the sample Excel file they offer has all the fields you need. If not let me know and I'll email you a shell.
Someone please tell me this: When I want to merge 2 Excel files into one, I have cut and pasted one record at a time but the description field is always truncated because Excel says it is too long. So after i copy and paste the whole record i have to go back to the description cell and highlight it, The copy and then paste it directly into the corresponding cell in the other Excel file.
Anybody know a simple fix to this? it's a LOT of work for something that should be easy. I just got Excel 2000 and the "bug" is still there.
