Why is it that so many international bidders bid on items that are not listed for international sale...

In addition to NOT checking the international option when listing, I CLEARLY state in the text of my auction "ITEMS SHIPPED TO US ADDRESSES ONLY..." Still, last night 2 auctions ended with one bidder from Canada and the other from UK! This has happened at least once with every batch of items I have listed here!

I am Sooooo DONE with Yahoo... I have a zillion credits left...but it is not worth the hassle...page views are way down and the quality of the buyers is getting intolerable(high percentage of deadbeats...and people who CAN'T READ!)

I'm outta here Yahoo...........Good Riddence!

Probably because they are ebay rejects! I had some good luck with oversea bidders in the past, but for some crazed reason, this past 6 weeks alone, (yes when everyone was doing the fire sale), I had nothing BUT trouble with oversea bidders. Had 2 from saudi arabia, one of them did mailed the payment, but for the 8 dollar shipping fee, which was at cost, he gotten upset that I didnt but Tracking info and insurace! And I had 10 deadbeat Canadians, who tried to twist my TOS so they can have shipping for free, or Britishs customers who didnt tell me they were in England, until I gotten the payment, despite my inital email stating that they MUST tell me what country they are at!

I had 100 closed auctions with bids in the last month. 65 percents were deadbeats. of the 65%, 25% didnt even bother to respond back! also 10% of the 65% said "oh, I changed my mind, please re-list" So I told them "listing cost money now", so I filed a listing fee refund, which is a joke, as the bidder gets harrasing email, so they get mad at me!

Forget it, with fees, and no new customer serve, still the same old robot respond, I think I had enough of yahoo! You cant stop the deadbeats, and its obvious to me, yahoo wount do anything about it!!!!

Or how about the Yahoooooo seller who states he ships Internationally and accepts cheques and money orders, gets a winning bid from a Canadian, then says he will only take PayPal or cash!

Or how about the Yahooooo seller who states a mailing charge of $2.95 to mail a paperback book, gets a winning bid from a Canadian, then says he needs $17.00 (US!!) to mail the same book!

No wonder Yahoooooo gets so many deatbeats.

I have not had any problems with overseas bidders. I use to but, I figured can't beat them join them. So I now send anywhere. I just put in the descriptions the shipping to the USA and the shipping elsewhere. If they don't send me the correct amount for overseas I just email them and tell them that I can't ship until they send the remained of the postage due. It has worked for me.
