How you like those sellers who start the auction at a penny, have a buy price of like $450 - 500 and a reserve on the auction, BUT what they don't tell you is that the reserve is the same as the buy price?? I was bidding on a laptop a couple weeks ago and I had got all the way to $400 before I stopped bidding and finally asked in the question what the reserve price was and the seller responded that it was the same as the buy price. I was very annoyed. I went on to another laptop auction.

Sellers who have a Yahoo!Shopping storefront are allowed to list "merchant auctions" and these listings are designated with the little image of a store.
I clicked around to see if these merchants are given some kind of price break or free listings, but didn't find any information on the subject.

What about the jeweler that Yahoo recruited started all their auctions at $1.00 and put buy prices of from $600.00 to $4300.00. Unfortunately, they did not realize the difference between "buy price" and "reserve"
Now they are refusing to honor the bids.
Yep, a quality experience!
I have the link to these auctions, but don't know if I can post it here.

I've had that happen. I won an auction for a car and the seller relisted less than 24 hours later and responded to my negative feedback that I didn't win because I hadn't bid the buy price lol. He gave me an excellent buyer rating though
