Yahoo has banned Klan and Nazi items from their auction site, but still plays hosts to Neo-Nazi clubs and even KKK chapters. Aren't we talking something like DOUBLE STANDARDS here????

I guess I could check it out from the French portal. I just don't know French for white supremacy or what neo-Nazis would call themselves there.
(Besides, they can still access it through the US site. I thought that's what these bans were all about!!!)

Well all the lawsuit entailed was the auction site.
The French government didn't target Yahoo as a whole just the items for sale at Yahoo Auctions.
If the French Goverment were going to try to go head to head against Yahoo As a whole then Yahoo would contest it and would have the backup of the US government.
The French can't dictate free speech in America........Yahoo gave in on the auctions aspect to save the hassle. I mean really.......would you or yahoo or even Ebay have fought a multi- million dollar lawsuit to defend a couple dozen auction listings??

The French tried to take on Yahoo in their home turf.
I think it was Saudi Arabia?? they went one step further and blocked all access of Saudi citizens from accessing the free porn wonderland that is Yahoo Clubs lol
These countries that don't like the good and bad of American portals and websites are fully capable of blocking access themselves.
