I have never put much faith in Yahoo's search results but this was a little too weird. My husband and I have done searches the past few weeks for items that would normally return 100's of listings, but now it is only returning maybe ten or twenty max fifty. Has anyone noticed this? BTW, given some of the problems people on this board have had with Yahoo lately I am grateful Yahoo cancelled my account for TOS listing violations.

Yes, I believe a lot of people are experiencing that now when they search.

Well, of course!! With hardly any listings left in the whole auction site, there can't be anything much left to search. This would explain the few listings that come up as a result. Listings are down from 2.5 million to about 250,000. That's a 90% drop.
So the resulting search results are reflecting the same 90% drop, too.

I just ran a search for the words "Please Don't Bid" and got 755 hits on Yahoo.

The same search produced 23,476 hits on eBay.

I think I'll stick with Yahoo when looking for something that people don't want me to buy. Who has time to wade through all those listings on eBay?

Why would someone not want anyone to bid on their auctions??

They probably say'please don't bid if you don't intend to buy'.

So why are you looking for stuff not to bid on Decpage?

Bearmom's right, I clicked lots of these ads and got
please don't bid if you can't pay within 14 days
please don't bid if you don't agree with our payment & shipping terms
please don't bid if you have negative ratings
please don't bid if you're not in the U.S.
please don't bid unless you intend to honor your commitment

etc.

Yea I been watching yahoo's decline too. I moved to ePier auctions the min the fees hit. I will not pay I helped build that site. But if any of you ex yahoo sellers are looking for a great place with lots of friendly people sellers and bidders check out http://www.epier.com There is also long thread about epier auctions in topics under other auctions. Check it out you will be impressed with the great things everyone is saying about epier auctions.

I just looked on Yahoo,

I virtually have no competition on Yahoo. I actually did better back when there were no fees. I think the bidders have slowed down along with the listings and sellers.
