I dont know if anyone has received one of these from Yahoo. If so, Please tell me what you did with it! It says:
"Congratulations! You are the Potential prize winner in the PayDirect Sweeps. by accepting this prize, you certify that you have complied with the Official Rules of the sweeps. this award may be recinded if you failed to fully comply wiith these rules"
Then it puts the money into my PayDirect account. If I was POTENTIAL prize winner, why would I have the ability to put the money into my PD account? So if they check and see that I have NOT complied with their rules, they will take it out of my Paypal account? Does this make sense? You give someone something and take it back???? Is this the standard email that everyone else got??? Mystery!!!!
Did anyone else get a similar email? I truly appreciate any feedback here. I am really concerned

It has been my experience with prizes awarded, and I've gotten several, (not Yahoo!). They will confirm you before giving you the award, not after. I've never seen it done in the way you are asking. But then, this is Yahoo!, and they do a lot of things that are mentally challenging. Good luck.

Your welcome, didn't realize it was in your account already. I overlooked that part of your post. Even in this event, they are restrained by a time frame for recinding the award. If you can't find the awards stipulations, I would contact them by phone. I won't post farther, as the rest is not within my knowledge. Good luck, again.

I got the same thing, I looked at the rules and it looked fine. So I accepted the money. It is still there, so everything must be ok
It was the second time I had won, so I searched very carefully for any rule saying I couldn't win more than once. I couldn't find one. However, the first time I won, the mail just said I was a winner. Nothing about potential winner.
So you should be fine, its been about a week for me now. Enjoy!

Ok, look at this again, "Potential prize winner in the PayDirect Sweeps. by accepting this prize, you certify that you have complied with the Official Rules of the sweeps. this award may be recinded if you failed to fully comply wiith these rules"
attached to it was the money! Something just doesnt seem right! the word POTENTIAL and recieving the currency should not be in the same email! You dont win something potentially and then get the prize!! I hope I am making myself clear!
edited for (hopefully) more clarity

Hello,
I got the same email you did. I agree, it is weird the way they word it. I went ahead and accepted the money about 4 days ago. So far, so good.

I was also a price winner. I received the information by mail (not e-mail). I had to return a notarized statement that I was over 18 etc. and upon doing all of that the money was deposited into may pay direct account. I then transferred it to may credit card. I assume that it will show up on my next statement.

I got one of these and it went straight to my delete folder, like all the other "free" stuff SPAM I get ...
