Interesting idea.

well....
1) What do you do when you do NOT ship outside 48 US states... do you ask bidders from Canada NOT to bid?

2) How do you let your US buyers know that you are from US and not from CANADA? - and not scare them away because of this discripancy?

3) How do you deal with neighborhood watch?

I am a Canadian and list on Yahoo Canada in U.S. dollars. The listings do NOT appear on the Yahoo U.S. auction site.

The user name registered in Yahoo Canada does show up on the U.S. site but a search of that name on the U.S. site will say "no listings" even though there are listings under that same name on Yahoo Canada.

Do I understand you right?
If I list in yahoo canada, check the "sell international", my auctions show up on the US yahoo search?
I know my germany auctions never showed up under the US search, and I always sell international.

I believe that the referenced cross-listing used to happen, but was deleted when insertion fees were introduced.

The Canada site does not cross over into the U.S. site, futhermore the Canadian site has no bidders! Very slow, there! I listed a couple of items there, and nothing happens.

figmente- interesting. I hope they didn't do the reverse as well, meaning I hope they didn't bar the international sites from seeing & bidding on US items for sale.

There is always a spot to enter where you are originating from.

I listed on Yahoo Italia Auctions
it was a total ghost town.

Matbe 6k listings there and mostly jewelery

Everyone is already registered to use the ther auction sites.basically anything yahoo you have your ID working

BUT

If you bid or sell your feedback does not carry over to any of the non US sites
