In answer to your question, I doubt it.
I don't know much about other Yahooooo categories, but the movies one has been flooded with all kinds of scum selling bootlegs and Yahoooo doesn't seem to be equipped to deal with them.

I hope I'm wrong but I think they waited too long. And I don't see them coming to their senses in the near future either.

I can't believe I am writing this, but Lord help us. I don't believe Yahoo is in any position to purchase a site such as eBay - but as absolutely inane Yahoo has acted, the last thing I'd want to see them be able to do is to purchase eBay and destroy it also.
There was a time, before the Yahoo insanity set in when I would have liked to have seen Yahoo take over, or merge with eBay - BUT no longer. The spiral into total prideful, insanity which overwhelmed Yahoo, is too destructive to wish on the only good sales outlet available, and that being eBay.
As I commented on another thread: “After visiting Yahoo yesterday, I spoke to their doctor, and he said they were gagging to death on pride; had lost their sight and were blind to everything happening, and were eaten alive with bravado!”
You know, I hadn't really thought about what it would be like if Yahell purchased Ebay....you are right. It would be a diaster for Ebay! But I doubt they can afford it anyway. I see Yahoo in a cloud of dust in my rear view mirror!

first i'd like to inform anyone reading this thread how fickle this business is before i answer your question.
i have been in this business for 17 years and did the fleas AN shows before selling online.
and its been my expirence that whenever the flow of the river has ANY changes it disrupts the flow of money being spent.
just as ebay has just about killed their site with so many rediclous rules so has yahoo changed to the point of NO RETURN.
had yahoo slowly changed their rules say in a 6 month time span we all probably would still be listing there,BUT they chose to try and take a big bite when THEY were desperate for revenues and that has caused the demise of yahoo.
and in answer to your question i think that if yahoo still has any auction site by the end of this summer it will look more like a ghost town at best.and EVEN if they offered the sellers that they chased away to come back free of any charges i really do not think most would return as they chased away the bidders as well.

I must be the oddball here. Since Yahoo changed and started charging my sales on Yahoo have been up. Perhaps I'm an isolated case or maybe it's nly true in the sports memorobilia section.
