I have a bidder who has won about 50 of my auctions (in clumps) in the space of less than a week. He said he sent payment for 26 of them last week, yesterday afternoon he said he was stopping and would send out payment for the remainder. Late last night, he bid and won 7 more.
I am getting a little nervous. Is there any way to find out (on Yahoo) whether he has won a bunch of auctions from other sellers recently? His feedback is only 3 - from January and February.
If I knew for sure he was out of control, I think I want to stop him from bidding until he has paid for his auction winnings to date.

Great Irene, and FWIW I don't think you are getting jacked around. You just aren't the type that makes enemies. I think you're just enjoying a surge.
Hope I'm right. VeryModern Space Junk

{sigh} Well, I checked. He registered on eBay in mid-January but doesn't appear to have bid on any auctions there. It confirms my guess that he is new to on-line auctions. My items on Yahoo may have been the first to spark his interest and he is getting carried away. However, my guess is that he probably also bidding furiously on other sellers' auctions there as well.
I think he's legit. He is using his full name in his e-mail address and it's not a web address. The only "vibes" I'm getting from his e-maiils is a sense that he has a very disorganized way of thinking (and shopping!).
VeryModern: I spend w-a-y too much time here on AW. Long ago I managed to convince myself that posting here was work-related i.e. it helps me hone my diplomatic skills which is a very useful skill to have when dealing with the public. Now dealing with problem buyers is a piece of cake.

Are the items totals within most budgets? If it was huge amount then I might be worried, I know last month I went a little crazy on Yahoo myself but it wasn't anything I couldn't afford, almost forgot one auction I won though; seller did to I think because most were from one seller and I had to email them and ask for the EOA.

Twelvepole: The items average about $6 each so if the seller is not bidding on numerous auctions of other sellers as well mine, I'm sure payment will come. I just wish there was a way of finding out on Yahoo like you can on eBay. I hate to stop a good buyer from bidding on my auctions!

Wow, I can relate to this one. I just had a bidder win 11 of my Yahoo auctions and also noticed he was high bidder on everyone else's ads in my category. When I looked up his eBay stats he had won 540 ads there in the past month. That's not a typo--540 wins in 30 days ranging everywhere from $2 to $150 each. He had a 10 on Yahoo but a 0 on eBay. I was nervous so I offered him a discount if he would send a Postal money order. He declined saying he preferred to write a check. I don't normally hold checks but I'm holding his and only deposited it 3/14. I just rechecked his feedback, he's 11 on Yahoo and 49 on eBay now, all positives so I feel a little better. He's also racked up another 102 eBay wins since last week and is still bid crazy on Yahoo. Maybe he inherited some cash or won the lottery

Stockticker:
I had one on Ebay do the same thing several months ago. it might be the same person. Was the check written from a business account called "Airwear" or "Airknee"? Is he, or she, from Redlands, Califonia?
If so, this person won over 100 of my auctions in a period of 3 months. Paid for that batch and came back for another 67 auctions... Never paid a dime for those. Had been doing the same thing under diff names for over a year on Ebay.
