I just received the following 2 emails right after one another from Yahoo:

Thank you for using Yahoo! Auctions.

We noticed that you have a growing number of negative ratings relative to your total number of ratings. Creating a safe environment for our Yahoo! Auctions participants is very important to us, and we want every transaction to be completed as smoothly as possible. If the number of your negative ratings continues to increase relative to your total ratings, we may suspend your account from future Yahoo! Auctions activity. We highly recommend that you take a look at our help pages for suggestions on how to improve your ratings. Good email communication and prompt payment
can improve your ratings. Here are some tips we recommend you follow at the
close of every auction. [etc.]

And then this one:

Dear xxxxxxxx,

You have been rated Excellent by xxxxxxxx
This increases your current rating to 3
The comment was: Super Fast Payment From Canada THANK YOU!!

So, am I am good guy or a bad guy?

No wonder people are warning me about their customer service!

Anytime one makes decisions based on mathematical projections, they should realize that the larger the sample, the more accurate the projection.

To talk percentages to you with you +3 rating proves once again, the minds behind the Yahoobots should be flipping hamburgers rather than running a computer site.

All I can tell you is never be the 1st to leave negative feedback. Even if they come to your home and burn it down, just give neutral feedback and in the comments say something simi-polite like "did not pay."

Otherwise you have about a 75% chance of getting "negative" feedback, which you don't need any of at this time.

The second letter was just to inform you that someone just rated you as excellent. How many negatives do you have?

None. I just started on Yahoo and I have only bought 3 things.

When I replied to Yahoos email about this asking why I got this warning they replied back to me telling me that I would have to send my question to a different Yahoo email address.

It is not worth the hassle. No wonder these guys are called "Yahoo".

That is horrible !! You are new to yahoo, it isn't easy at first and mistakes are made not only by new buyers but by the new sellers, many of us are used to ebay or amazon's systems, anytime you try a new site, errors are going to be made.

What really annoys me about your dilema is the fact that I had a Deadbeat bidder that had a rating of 8. When I did not hear from this buyer in a reasonable time I checked his feedback, yes he had a good rating of 8 but he had close to 60 negatives!! Why was he still being allowed to bid?
