MEDIA EXEC SEES YAHOO A TOUGH JOB
The former head of BMG Entertainment, Strauss Zelnick, has reportedly
turned down the CEO job at Yahoo Inc. (YHOO). He rejected the slot,
citing major challenges facing the company, according to News.com.

Yesterday, Goldman Sachs issued a downbeat research report on the Web
company, although conceding "Yahoo has built one of the most valuable
brands on the Internet." Recruiter Spencer Stuart said five potentially
viable candidates applied for the job via the firm's posting on its Web
site
(http://www.spencerstuart.com/opportunities/content/en/us/teaser.asp?JobID=2310353?dist=nwtid).
An equity analyst at Wit Soundview, Jordan Rohan, is skeptical Yahoo
will line up a new chief soon. "Here's the problem: No CEO candidate in
their right mind would accept the job right now until shares of Yahoo
have stabilized," he told News.com.

Is this something new ?
When did "being in their right mind" become a requirement for YAHOO leadership?
Actually I feel bad making fun of YAHOO. They built a dominate Internet business and the auction area was becoming the major "secondary" marketplace to eBay.
I benefited from what they offered and hope they regain their footing and again become a successful and growing company.
