I've noticed that Yahoo's message boards, chatrooms and e-mail sytems are getting increasingly unstable. It appears as though the whole Yahoo sky is falling, but they brought it on themselves.

I have been following AW less and less, but let me ask you all this, since I have not been following the posts quite as religiously, have you all yet found any auction site other than eBay which is filling the demand and generating decent profit?

Has anyone found a decent burial site for Yahoo?

No decent burial site, yet! Do they deserve a decent spot? LOL!

No, the other free sites are slow, but I have sold about 20 items since leaving Yahoo. I think it will take time, and lots of it! I can't go back to Ebay to sell, I can't pay the fees, most of my items average under $15.00.

Good Luck!

Today YaFool made a new low on Wall Street at 11 3/8...down 18.75% and that was after a 10% decline yesterday. Anybody here buying? Not me.

It may just be one person at YaWho who is responsible for the auctions poor showing, but I listed there for 2 years and all I say is mistakes were made and worthwhile suggestions ignored.

It leaves me with this unobjective feeling that many morons are running the place. I know it is a major player and will be one of the survivors, but what is it worth?

The big mistake I made 3 years ago in evaluating YaWho and ePay's prospects were in deemphasizing the value of brand name and navigating the internet. My logic was this: Walmart has a big advantage in the bricks and pavement world by having so much stuff under one roof. That eliminates having to drive all over town to do your shopping.

But on the internet, stores are just a flick of the wrist and click or 2 away. It shouldn't have made much difference about having a Portal site and putting everything under one umbrella. And it isn't important to me.

But if I've learned anything from being a seller on YaWho, it is that the average computer user doesn't know how to use their computer. It's all they can do to find ePay or YaWho again the next day after turning the computer off. Having all their needs just 1 click from YaWho's main page is indeed very important stuff. And likewise one would think buyers would search at AW to see all the listings, and sellers would flock to the free sites, but ePay maintaines stranglehold on the industry.
