If things keep going as they are there will be no Yahoo auction for them to manage. I would be surprised if they could turn things around now, even with eating crow and correcting some of their major mistakes,like insert fees instead of FVF.

Yahoo Auction's best hope, IF they're wise enough to revamp the fees and fix the problems like category structure and PayDirect glitches, is for eBay to become so *utterly unbearable* for sellers that they'll come to Yahoo to get away from the misery. eBay's doing all they can to HELP YAHOO by driving the sellers away with every change they make, but YaFools have just been *too totally clueless* to take advantage of the situation. Only time will tell whether YaWho's new brass are smart enough to size it all up and do the right thing. And I'm not holding my breath.

I would expect that that approach would allow them to reach any chosen intermediate compromise level between the excess of free listings and the current paucity.
