They are finally back up but I don't know how long they were down. I tried to go there at midnight EST because I had ads ending. I couldn't access Auctions, Clubs or email until 12:50. Luckily I had some early bidders days ago so I sold a few in spite of their thoroughly unreliable site being down yet again.

3 of 4 nights I tried to list this week I was met with "Yahoo's wallet server is down" error page and not allowed to list. Their response was some canned BS that it must be a problem with MY browser. Yeah sure, my browser makes up pages on it's own using Yahoo logo & messages. The first night I waited several hours for it clear up and then listed but the next 2 nights I just said forget it.

All of which brings to mind the question of the year.....Why would anyone still go to Yahoo auctions? The site is not reliable and 95% of their would-be items are now listed elsewhere due to their idiotically imposed fees.

That's a odd question, Bartolocolon40. The answer is obvious. Some sellers (including myself) are still making sales on Yahoo. In my case, I've been helped by my competitors going elsewhere. As far as fees are concerned, I'm still using up my credits. As far as site stability is concerned, well eBay has always been fairly unreliable too.

They have an Announcement board if you know where to look. It just started last Oct.
http://auctions.yahoo.com/phtml/auc/us/promo/announcements.html

As you can see they keep every announcement they have ever made on that page and they have only admitted to being down once. Jan 21 they stated they were down several hours & would refund listing fees. That was the only time though and I doubt many of the affected sellers ever found the post.

I haven't had problems with Auctions today but had trouble with Clubs. I kept being told I wasn't a member of any Clubs but that cleared up after a few hours.
