I have been reading the posts and see that some people have their auctions pulled FOR NO REASON or are suspended from Yahoo, never knowing the reason. Yet, some on there have at least 3 different id's, which I thought was against their rules and one in particular is very obvious........and Yahoo just keeps on letting them list. Anyone have a clue?

I guess when I read this I just assumed that having several id's & email addresses was a breach of TOS. Wrong assumption?

Yahoo used to allow multiple ID's, I don't remember exactly when it changed. I think it was when they imposed the 1,000 ad limit last fall. But they said anyone who already had multiples could keep them.

I do not read it that way. I had several id's on Yahoo, and sold under all of them. I had over 1000 items and broke them down somewhat under different types of items and choose id's. All were registered under my real name. I had to use a different credit card for each one, but that was no problem for me.

I sell under more than one ID to separate the different types of items I sell. I use the same credit card and the same e-mail address.

Glad to have that clarified for me & thanks! I know that is Bidville's policy as long as you don't use your different id's to inflate the bidding on one of your auctions. Who knows about Ebay? They seem to keep their policies in a secret book & change them at their whim.

Heyheyjan: On eBay you can have more than one ID as well. For example, it is very common for sellers have a separate buying ID there. One reason is that they buy on eBay to sell on eBay. They don't want other sellers to see what they are bidding on.
Edited to add: They also don't want their auction buyers to see that the item they won was just recently purchased by the seller on eBay for a much lower price.

A recent article on AW regarding multiple ID's:

I use 4 on Yahoo, 2 on Bidbay and 2 on Ebay.
