So much for the TOS when it comes to the "big boys"! I have complained about how Yahoo seems to be making concessions for some sellers and keeps the playing field unlevel with their Featured Sellers and their Premium Sellers programs that allow new sellers with no track record to start on Yahoo under these banners!

Today I went to Yahoo Auctions and on the category page for FINE JEWELRY, I found a link for a FEATURED SELLER that I had not seen before. So I clicked on it and got the fanciest page you every saw complete with side navigational bar that takes you to a private auctionsite for this NEW seller! Turns out, from what I have been able to sleuth, this NEW seller is also selling under another ID that is less than 3 months old in itself! They came to Yahoo as a brand new seller and were called a PREMIUM SELLER for the get-go! They must be some big company. Now they have two ID's, prime "location" with all the spotlights and can redirect Yahoo buyers to their own private site! How's that for a level playing field? They have mimicked Yahoo's bidding page but before you can bid you have to REGISTER with their site! I think this could very well be the straw that broke that 'ole camels back for me! It's insult to injury!

I'm spitting mad, but since nobody at Yahoo Auctions will ever listen to me, you poor guys have to listen to me rant & rave!!!!!

Money is the name of the game. Expect more injustice around every corner.

Good Catch Sulyn. I'm going to go check it out. I know they (Yahoo) want to get the auctions back into competition with the "other" site but geez! what about us other sellers. Give us a chance to show our items too! We are the ones paying the 20c listing fee everyday. Oh well....

Maybe you should submit your find to KRAUS newsletter. Maybe they'll do a report on it ?
