Just listed a few books, let's see what they do over there.
I still have some "Funny Money" left; might as well use it up!!

Depends on who you talk to so I guess that it depends on the category you are in.
I have been dead in the water for the last 2 rounds. Not one item received a bid. I used to have about 75% sell-through 6 months ago. Now, I cannot give it away! I have enough built in my start to run 3 rounds before it starts eating into my profit and my profit margin is set so low (trying to be competitive) that I can't really let the listing fees start eating away at it. So, I'm going to be saying by-by to Yahoo again for awhile. I leave, I come back, I leave again....we sort of have a "love-hate" relationship it seems...
I keep hoping for the day I can come and STAY!!! Yahoo was the firstauction site I every tried and I have a soft spot in my heart for it!

Since Yahoo's closed list only shows actual sold items I'm not sure how the sell-through could be determined by an individual.
The last stats released by Yahoo were 6/1:
regular auctions 31%
featured auctions 51%
Premium sellers auctions 64%

I can only speak for my category, not any of the others, but I laughed when those stats came out....I started keeping a list of the 1st 7 premium sellers in my category right after the program was introduced. I keep track of number of items listed, close date, items sold in each round (hard to do on those that list items daily-easy on those that list 10 days auctions 1 round at a time) and final price.
Today, the basic "stats" for my group of premium sellers is:
52-listings 0-bids Average Price-$0
22-listings 12-bids Average Price-$5.00
29-listings 0-bids Average Price-$0
49-listngs 1-bid Average Price-$15
77-listings 19-bids Average Price$200
30-listings 9-bids Average Price $5.00
124-listings 8-bids Average Price $10
Here are the stats for the latest (and largest) arrivals to the Premium Seller's program in my category:
According to Yahoo sellers are "reviewed" monthly and in order to remain Premium Sellers they must maintain:
1.one of the top rates of items sold (i.e. sell-through)
2.high gross merchandise sales within his/her category
3.consistent quantities of inventory from month to month
4.overall high quality of items and listings
5.positive bidder ratings
6.a fresh and functional Yahoo! Auction Booth
Things may be rosey in all the other categories on Yahoo Auctions and may be growing leaps and bounds. I cannot say. I can say my category is bloated with cheap, mass produced junk sold by big companies that have the status of FEATURED and PREMIUM lumped on them and still can't even sell 1/4 of what they list!
Need I say more about my category or about Yahoo's "spin" on how great things are since they supposedly got rid of the junk???

my sell thru for the same items i sell on ebay was 3%...on ebay they were 18%......it looks like yahoo is a complete joke.....i tried yahoo back in july and sell thru was 5% both times lost money.....

I am having a very good rate right now. In fact, I tried running a few things on Ebay, just for old time's sake. These were unusual items that I wanted to get maximum price for. Half sold, at excellent prices. The other half I listed on Yahoo and sold immediately for about what I wanted. No rushes on anything, but then I didn't have to give any of that final bid to Yahoo either.
I sell almost 100% in the collectibles category, listings are down and my sales have gone up accordingly, since listing fees were initiated.
