Yahoo is probably the best auction site for UK users.
1) It is free - and presumably will still be free (I have not explored the situation with eBay UK too much, but I think they will charge eventually).
2) You can upload pics without having webspace of your own and other such rediculous complications.
3) It allows UK & Ireland selllers access to the US market. I don't think eBay UK does that - maybe I'm wrong. Certainly QXL doesn't.
My only quibble with Yahoo is that there is not enough promotion of their auctions. Particularly on Yahoo.co.uk, where if you log into the directory's home page, auctions have been relegated to a small link at the bottom of their header (it used to be more prominent). I know it is free with Yahoo, but please promote it more.
