A Year or so ago I thought about selling on Yahoo (I am an Ebay Powerseller, but wanted to try and expand). I opened an account and paid for an item (hpoed to build a bit of FB before selling).
The seller never shipped my item and changed her positive feedback to a neg when I complained.
I left that account with a -1 and went back last night.
I wrote Yahoo and asked them to remove the neg and allow me to start wth a clean slate. (I did mention the Powerseller thing..)
An hour later they asked me what I sell and for my Ebay ID.
This morning the neg was removed! I am going to start selling at Yahoo today!
I have 2200+ POSITIVES AND 8 negs on my Ebay account, 7 are flat out lies. (5 of these have been NARU'd). I have begged Ebay to remove the unture feedbacks, but they hardly ever answer and have never removed one.
I am impressed with Yahoo's speed and cooperation! They actually seem to understand that they need honest sellers to survive! They actually seem to value my future business!
I pay almost as much to Ebay in fees each month as I pay in rent for my home...You'd think they would value my business, but they don't.
I will keep selling on Ebay, but I am sure going to split the business!

Don't get your expectations too high on Yahoo's CS. Last year they gave away a lot of free listing credits to lure ebay sellers to their site.
Normally if you email Yahoo with an question or problem you will either get no reply at all or a canned reply that does not pertain to your question at all. But you will learn all of this before you can say Yahoo customer service is made up of one Civil War veteran and a dozen robots.

I have found that the key to the Y! Auctions Customer Service is persistence.
In general, I find that when I reply to their first response, that is when I get what I want. I am referring to a human generated response, not just the "We have received your comment" email. Even if it's a form letter that you get, there is a person who sent it - hit reply and restate what you asked if you don't feel it was answered.

i REALLY like the customers at Yahoo many have become friends. These are usually Yahoo people..they never even browse ebay so this is a whole new group we would never have picked up..
one thing to think about,,how many times has yahoo been down? i think about 2 times i noticed in 3 years of having a few things there..compared to ebay that is a real plus.
I wonder why more people don't use paydirect for payments? it is free, can be used off your website or any auctions site..once a newbie actually did something odd,,signed up somehow as the seller & used my email address for sending request or money to..some weird thingy..i called the paydirect bank toll free # WOW..talked to them about few times to get it straight..each time they were fabulous!..sharp courteous bright they got it,,exactly the problem & the immediately took care of it..I wrote thier supervisor about super service..
quite a change from other sites..
i am very happy about the lower listing fees.& there is a new auctions chat board for help too.good luck everyone
