This is the most ridiculous thing I ever heard!
The other day I had a sale end, Yahoo sent me the ending info to contact the winning bidder.
Well I sent winner the EOA info and it came back Undeliverable!
When I contacted Yahoo to let them know this users Email addy was no good, and could they supply valid info I got this back!
(If you need to contact the bidder, we suggest you leave feedback for the
bidder with an "Average" rating. In your feedback, please explain the
situation and ask the bidder to contact you again via email. After you
submit the feedback, a copy will be automatically forwarded to the
bidder's email address.(
Your telling me they don't a better system than this to contact people!

Honestly I am glad yahoo keeps my personal information personal. The bidder may have not used their account in some time and forgot to change their email. I would leave a feedback like they said because unlike ebay(of course!)you can change it later. Yahoo does email the buyer when their feedback changes.

That's the way the Yahoo system has worked all along. You can change feedback so using a neutral feedback to alert a user that their email is bad is a good thing. On ebay you have to tell ebay and they try the bad email a couple of times and if it bounces they temporarily suspend the user till the user fixes the problem. Yoahoo's system is to let the sellers and buyers fix things by themselves. No Big Brother to run the show can be good sometimes.

Just keep in mind that although you can change the rating (I don't even think there is a limit as to how many times), each comment still remains in the FB and is viewable.
When I'm realllly bored, I look for FB that has a "mini-series" going!!! It's better than most daytime soaps...
Of course, when a Yahooer goes over to eBay as a newbie and uses the FB to make contact with the seller he's name is MUD!
There was a post on eBay Outlook back a few weeks ago where a newbie buyer had left a neutral for the seller within a few moments asking for their email address...the seller was NOT happy. Someone mentioned the newbie was probably a seasoned Yahooer and using FB is a sure way of making contact with the buyer/seller. Apparently some prefer it to going through their closed auction page!
Just wanted to add you can also leave a comment in the closed auction and it appears down at the bottom left of the page on both yours and the buyers closed auction page. I am not sure anyone but me reads that section, but I leave a comment there anyway before leaving the NEUTRAL in the FB. I usually just say something like: "unable to contact-please email me at XXX" and I give them my backup email address. I discovered early on, I needed two email addresses to keep everything running smoothly and I furnish BOTH in my EOA. It has saved me more than once. I went through a spell where my ISP seemed to be blocking everyone!!!

Thanks for the info!
It appears Yahoo contacted him and had him get in touch.
Which means he had his second address listed!
So why couldn't they just have given it to me insted of a runaround?
Makes no sence to me!
Could have taken care of thing's in minutes instead of day's!

sulyn1950 I just checked and yes there is place to add a message called a Transaction Log. This will come in handy someday for sure. I also list both email address in my EOA. Thanks for the tip.
dadofstickboy When I signed up yahoo required a primary email, and a secondary email address. I think its a great idea having two emails incase one is no longer valid.

I have also discovered that when in a pinch to reach a buyer, you can send them an email at yahoo mail by just putting in their userid and adding @yahoo.com . Not all users actually use their Yahoo mail address, but they all have one. So if they check that mail at all, they will find your message.
When sending my EOA I also always send a cc to my Yahoo mail address.
This shows the buyer that I AM attached to that email addy. That way if I do end up having to send them something from my Yahoo mail address they don't automatically think I'm someone trying to scam them.
Since my account is set up with my primary email address as my ISP, and that one will be furnished the winning bidder at the close of the auction, I put a link in my auctions to my Yahoo email address. I think most people use the ASK SELLER A QUESTION feature (which I really don't like) because they don't want a seller knowing their email address BEFORE the auction closes, in case they decide NOT to bid or maybe they are afraid they'll end up on some mailing list or end up being spammed. I figure that my placing a link inside my auction to my Yahoo email address they may feel "safer" asking me a question that way instead of using a link that takes them directly to my ISP addy.
