Does Yahoo have a NPB system like eBay where after 3 reports of non payment by that buyer they suspend the buyer? I have a LOT bad bidders that have feedback ratings like 72 but have 18 negatives. At a glance it looks like a good bidder. Those bad bidders make you wonder if Yahoo cares at all about the sellers.

Thanks to Yahoo's inept management - no one cares anymore! They never cared about sellers, now we are returning the favor - we don't care about them!

It's simple. There is a lot less bad things happening at Yahoo. People tend to not drag on and on about positive happenings, but if something bad or controversial happens, you can bet there will be many people on the bandwagon. Controversy brings many people out of the deeps of boredom.

Anyone who dislikes yahoo can go to bidville where their friendly users will accept you with open arms, but beware that if you post anything negative prepare for the worse!

I remember a few months ago how negative all the posts were with predictions of the pending demise of Yahoo auctions because of fees. Anything postive and, many times, any serious questions or suggestions were met with derision by a handfull of lurking posters. I think that probably drove many people away. I know it did me. Maybe in time this board will pick up again since, whether we admit it or not, many of us would love to see Yahoo auctions grow larger than the competition, however remote that may seem now.

I'm beginning to think Yahoo is close to pulling the plug. When a seller can run 50 auctions at very low prices with good items and can not sell an item there has to be a serious lack of bidding traffic. What matter does it make if a large auction site comes to the rightful conclusion that auctions are passe and a waste of time and the money and energy is better spent on fixed price venues.
The European auction sites pullout may have been the forerunner of a complete auction pullout ( except for Yahoo-Japan perhaps ).

I hope you are wrong about the auction portion of Yahoo Bids, but I'm afraid your not.
However, Yahoo's "fixed" price venue (Yahoo Store) doesn't seem to be doing all that great either.
I have a friend that has an independent WEBSITE that he doesn't even promote. He does come up in the #1 spot on Google for the product he does best with. He opened a Yahoo Store several months ago and has not had one purchase despite having multiple daily sales on his own .COM. That really shocked me. I had encouraged him to open the Yahoo Store. I will learn to keep my mouth shut one of these days maybe.
When an individual without any advertising, with only one tiny little B&M and a tiny little WEBSITE, can get more action on his own .COM from a simple "google" search than he can get in his YAHOO STOREFRONT, that's just plain sad.
He had decided he would run the Yahoo store for 6 months and if he didn't see something to give him some hope he would just close up his shop. He's getting close to the shutdown date.
He's decided he'll just open up another WEB and link it to the one he already has going that is actually making him money.

Yeah our Yahoo auctions are just about dead. Maybe hit one or two sales a week. Used to do real good on that site. Noticed this about two months ago. Thats when it died down. Our other auction site has picked up a lot but still down for the year. The free sites forget it! What a waste of time. The other site we have its hitting this past two weeks at a 45% sell through rate. Sad!

I dunno about Yahoo.
I have around 150 Auctions end last night, and sold around 50 of them. That's 33%, which ain't bad.
I have around 18,000 (Yes eighteen THOUSAND) items listed on On Warehouse/Used Goods/Half.clone and sell MAYBE 1 item a week.
I think they may be making a BIG mistake.

Yahoo Auctions was doing fairly well earlier this year but has almost died this month, for me anyway. A few bad months strung together would sober up a lot of sellers and may cause them to stop listing altogether. The auction counts must be dropping. I almost think the FLD's were the reason that the early part of this year were good at Yahoo. The FLD's flooded the site with needed items for shoppers to buy but now there are less and less items and less and less reason to visit Yahoo Auctions to shop. I rarely can find anything I normally shop for on eBay on Yahoo.
The Yahoo Stores seem far too expensive for the average Yahoo Auctions seller to use as a homebase. I do not see why anyone uses them at all.
In mid-September eBay starts it's daily TV show and that should make eBay even more popular. If Yahoo could come up with a TV show it would help get viewers to the Yahoo Auctions & Shopping sites.
I agree that the small warehouse sites are almost always a total waste of effort.
