I have a buyer with a[br] dead E-mail address.
The last time this happened Yahoo told me to leave feedback asking for a good address!
Well I just left Nue. asking for a good address,BUT his # was 0 still 0 HOW do I change this to BAD to get his attention?
Or should I just Delete the trans. and chalk it up to a typical Yahoo Transaction?

Just leave the negative feedback like you had never given them a rating before and it will change the rating to a ( -1 ) with both comments present.
I have had several bad bidder addresses on Yahoo and even leaving the negative with a note that you'll change it rarely helps. In your case, at least you get the satisfaction of making this bidder no longer have the ability to bid on any other Yahoo auctions with that ID and credit card.

Have you tried his/her id as the e-mail address? Like, his/[email protected]. If I run across a bad e-mail address, this usually works. The feedback thing usually doesn't because the feedback notification is also going to the bad e-mail address. Do the yahoo e-mail and I bet you get ahold of this person.

Did what you said!
It worked!
Now if he responds, Will I be able to kill the Neu.,& Neg and leave him with a # of +1?
Yahoo Sucks!!
I was kicked off for 6 months, for filing NPB's
After carefull concideration they let me back*** OOOOHHHHH what a joy!!!
Since I've been back I've had 8 sales and only 3 have been completed!
This is not 1 of them!
2 weeks ago I listed 100 auctions at 10 days with a $1.00 starting bid, 4 sold,2 have paid, I didn't make enough to cover costs!
And now I'm going through this!
Not worth it!
After these 4 sales are done, I am Quite sure I'm going to KILL this acct.!!

You can simply change it to a positive when the buyer pays. As far as I know you can change the rating as many times as you like. Yahoo feedback system is really stress free and a hell of a lot better than ebay's messed up system.

I check out dadofstickboy on Yahoo and no listings. Unrated. How can you have NPB's when you have no listings?

It's not me!
Someone got it before me!
Like I said, I was booted once for filing NPB's.
After they let me back someone had taken my name.
And I, like you, see they never use it!

I've negged a dozen of the unrated newbies and none have returned the negative. Most can't figure out the feedback system.
You'll get your fees back a lot easier and faster than ebay.
Yahoo has been very slow lately, for me anyway.

I'm not going to bother trying to get fees back!
Last time I tried I was booted for 6 months.
It would give my more satisfaction to close the acct.
Then let them boot me again, in their support of their deadbeats!

This thread has the smell of a scam. Reading all of the words left don't add up. Just too much blasting of a great site instead of true hard facts. And do you really think that dadofstickboy would really get picked before? That isn't something very commonly referred to in conversations or any other name. I will stick with my observation with no listings so no feedback or deadbeat. PS: Yahoo doesn't suspend a seller for having a NPB. If you were suspended, it is because you violated some term or condition.

Well: I'm still dadofstickboy, but now I've added a suffix.
Also: I had to try at least 5 or 6 till I came up with 1 that wasn't used!

I agree with Barparts. No auction site is going to suspend a seller for turing in a NPB. For some reason auction users bash yahoo, but yet are scared in their shoes to say a bad word about eBay fearing they will terminate their account. Yahoo does more for sellers than eBay would ever do, and they turn their nose at them. Lets see ebay lower fees, or delete a negative feedback left by a deadbeat.....

I don't understand how leaving bad feedback asking them to contact me, will stop them from being able to continue!

blairwitch ... I don't know if Yahoo would suspend a member for turning in an NPB or not ... never had one there.
But, I can state with absolute certainty that Yahoo will suspend a member for reporting sellers who are using Yahoo to sell illegal items. IOW, they do protect those who bring in the money regardless of what they sell and they turf those who don't think this is right and say something about it.
As far as bad mouthing eBay and fearing their wrath, have a look at some of their forums before you make that kind of statement

RB I must disagree with you. Yahoo has in place the neighborhood watch to take care of illegal items and it works wonderful as we have seen by a recent post. I have used it many of times with no problems at all. I have never seen any other account on a message board about being suspended for reporting illegal items. I do not judge because without hearing both stories it isnt worth it.
eBay has in the past deleted topics on their boards, and suspended accounts. And ebays bootleg policy is really good. They send a bot email which the seller simply ignores.

I wonder if those who say they were suspended by Yahoo for reporting others were actually suspended for the verbage in their communications to Yahoo? If the verbage was similar to that posted here, that seems a very likely possiblity.

blairwitch ... feel free to disagree if you want, but I have irrefutable proof that Yahoo does do this.
Also, do you know of any other venue that advertises their bootleg sellers on their non-auction related entertainment pages? Yahoo does
stavecards ... trying to communciate with Yahoo is a lost cause, regardless of which words you choose. Do they still list a person named "Coll" (or something like that) as their copyright expert and the person a member should contact if they have a question, or have they finally admitted that this "person" never existed in the first place?
Has Yahoo finally added something to their registration page to alert Canadians that they are not welcome, or do they still take all your information and sell it to their SPAMMERS and let a Canadian find out the hard way that s/he is not welcome? IOW, do they still let us spend time preparing and posting listings, see nothing and get absolutely zero response from Yahoo when asked why the listings aren't showing up?. I had to find out here why mine weren't showing up - Yahoo never did respond.
Yahoo blows big chunks and is a total waste of web space.

It seems like a majority of the bad email addresses come from unrated users. If an unrated user has an invalid email and fails to contact the seller in a reasonable amount of time then the seller should leave a negative feedback to eliminate that user from the bidding pool. The bidder is eliminated because his rating changes from (0) to a (-1) and most sellers set the minimum bidder rating that allows bidders on their auctions to a (0) rating.
===================
This option determines the minimum rating that bidders must meet before bidding on your auction. Default is 0 -- this means that bidders with a negative rating will not be able to bid on your item. Please note that all bidders, no matter what their ratings, must enter a valid credit card before being able to bid on any item. If you want anyone to be able to bid on your item, regardless of rating, set this Minimum Bid Rating to none.

stavecards the problems with yahoo began when the fees began, and some still arent over it. When they began fees they also put into place a TOS like ebay. Many sellers said yahoo screwed them, but at the time it was proved here again and again they broke the new TOS. They placed bidville banners in auctions and were kicked, sent nasty emails and were kicked, made anti-yahoo id's and were kicked, porn sellers were kicked, nazi stuff was kicked, and on and on.
RB I know you are upset about the canadian rule, but the sellers told yahoo not to let you guys on due to fraud. Everyone was polled, and I voted for canadians to stay, but many did not.

blairwitch ... the only thing that Yahoo is capable of polling (pulling) is their, aw, never mind.
If they did do a "poll" to find out where the majority of their fraud comes from, it sure wouldn't be from Canada. I guess that's the problem with you conduct a "poll" and 10 million Americans and 4 Canadians respond.

Blairwitch,
RB gets kicked off of every site he goes to, not just Yahoo. I think the problem lies in that Canadian blood. Kind of funny how most of the problems in the online auction industry come from Canada. Bet that is why Yahoo is dumping Canadians all together.
