Trying to set-up my first Yahoo auction. When I press preview at the end, I get this error: "Auction Data Failure: %s "
Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Also there are 3 boxes at the bottom: "gift" & ?"bold" & something else: am I susposed to check one or what? Any help is greatly appreciated!

tornwiii,
I'm not familiar with the error message you are getting (auction data failure:%s). I can explain the 3 boxes. These are fairly new features Yahoo put into play recently to help "boost" your sales.
1. gift: You can, for a fee, have a gift icon imbedded in your auction title, i.e. Father's Day, graduation, gift of love, etc. The fee for that is $1.00. To learn more about it, there is a clickable link to the right of it on the submit page.
2. Bold Text means your auction title will have a bolder text than other auction titles; therefore yours will tend to stand out more. The fee for that is $2.00.
3. Featured Auction: Featured auctions are listed at the top of a catagory. The more you pay to feature an auction, the higher up on the featured list you go. Minimum fee for that is $.25 per day.
If you want any of those features, you must first open a "Yahoo Wallet." This is a credit card account that keeps tabs on how much you spend for any of these "pay" features. You credit card is charged by Yahoo.
I have been auctioning on Yahoo for a year and a half. These pay features just went into effect, hmmm, in Feb. I think.
There is no cost to do a basic listing. I currently have about 1300 auctions running under 2 user names. I don't use any of the pay features. Guess I'm just "tight" with my money.
Good luck getting your auctions up and running! Hope you sell lots!!

Oh, I'm sorry! I had your name incorrect...it's tomwiii, not tornwiii. These old eyes are tired...too long on the net...time to sleep.
