I have noticed this morning that when I relist an item it not only says "automatically extended" it also has a reserve on it. I don't even use reserves.
Have any of the rest of you noticed this when you relist?

i'm not sure what you are referring to...but i have relisted...the boxes you refer to are there as an option...if there's no black dot in them - you are not choosing them......cj

No, I am not choosing them, they are already selected for me and then I have de-select them.

I noticed the same thing today when I did some relists that didn't have reserves. I don't think the box was checked, but there was a number that was the same as my opening bid. You really have to check those relists. Something always seems screwed up. Melanie

In 1999 Yahoo always automatically entered a reserve the same as the opening on a resubmit. You had to edit description to take it out or uncheck it if you were manually resubmitting. They finally dumped it (assuming because of numerous complaints). I haven't listed on Yahoo lately so I wasn't aware they had started it again. Grrrrrr, more hassle (I also hate auto extend)

I relisted one a couple days ago, and found a price in the reserve box, but I had had a "buy price" on that auction (my first relist of a buy price auction), so I thought it was related to that function. I hope that's not going to be ANOTHER thing to have to correct before submitting a relisting. I have a hard enough time remembering to check and uncheck boxes as it is!

Yes I took notice to the same thing. The extended Yahoo automatically checked off for us a few weeks ago. They want us to go through the trouble to uncheck them everytime. They figure we don't have enough things to waste out times with. I took notice to the reserves a few days ago. Now I have to delete that all the time is this a temporary error or something Yahoo decided to do is anyones guess since they never tell anyone anything.
have a nice day all

I have noticed this too on all my auction I use buy price on when I go to relist reserve is filled in with my starting bid.
not only that but in the auction close letters from yahoo that end with no bids or one just one bid but not the buy price it is now refering to my start price as a reserve price either not being met or that my reserve price was met reserve price always being my starting bid.

when you relist and yahoo fills in the same amount as your opening bid in the RESERVE
field, I know it is upsetting, BUT you do not have to remove it.
If you continue on and relist it, you will see it does not say you have a reserve in red.
It will not matter either way so long as the 2 figures (opening bid and reserve) are the same.
Try it and you'll see.

It matters in that some bidders hate reserves so much they will hit the back button immed if they think it's a reserve auction.

kasmoon,
The red RESERVE line won't BE there, as long as the reserve no higher than your opening bid. TRY IT and you'll see that you DON'T have to remove it from the box when relisting.
