Hi jwpc, I have used AW's Auction Manager a few times, I have had no problems like the ones you will constantly find here, however there are a few annoyances like having to download your own pictures from AW etc. and the process can take a while.
What I would like to see is a program which designs your own auction template, with all your preferences etc, then all you have to do is just add photo and type in description. I think AW Auction manager does that somewhat, but not in a simple fast way.

I would like to use it if I could figure out Yahoo's convoluted way of doing things.
What is the story with Auction Manager? Do you have to have a Merchant Account? Do you have to start a Yahoo Storefront? If you get a Merchant Account with Yahoo can you use this account on your own site?
In fact I have trouble understanding and finding a lot of stuff on Yahoo. The categories are dismal and a nightmare if you are looking for something. Pottery is under housewares, I think. It looks like it was designed by a brain damaged cat. Addresses go under A, telephone numbers go under T, etc..
As a consequence I don't buy or sell much on Yahoo.
My perfect auction template is one where all of the recuring info is there. All I would have to do is enter a title, description, starting price, category, and "browse" to select the images I want from my files. Hit send and poof the template is sent, the images are downloaded and the auction verification appears.
I found one that almost worked but it is unstable and I loose infromation causing me to spend hours setting it up again.
