I don't believe I have a credit card registered at Yahoo!. All you need to do is register by clicking the "Sign In" link and then "Sign Me Up". Some simple info and that's it! If you want to feature items you can open a Yahoo! Wallet that stores your credit card number but it is not required. Good Luck!!

if you are wanting to list click "submit auction" on any page and it will ask who you are and walk you through.

If you plan to sell or visit the adult section, you will be required to register your credit card. Try to list an item & it will come up.

I've been waiting over a year now for a answer to my multiple emails to Yahoo regarding my password for heygrape. Nada! Ziltch! Nothing!

I finally gave up and registered again as heygrapey.

I have a question but I really don't want to wait over a year for an answer from Yahoo. Can you guys help me? How do I change the category on a auction?

TIA!
Grapey

Sorry Heygrape, You can't "change" the category. You have to submit it as a brand new ad to pick a new category. If you had a long description you can edit/copy and paste it into the new ad descrip box.

hey heygrape I am sorry to say I don't think there is a shortcut. You have to cut and paste.

One another note - you don't know me but your posts of long ago on the ebay DNF board encouraged me off Ebay to Amazon and on to Yahoo last year. I am very happy to have this chance to say thank you, it has really worked out. You were the inspiraton for my liberation, I am very grateful and I am sure there are many many others just like me.

I used Yahoo a few times awhile ago...just tried to use them again and got this

Instant Yahoo! Account Verification
Thank you for submitting an item to Yahoo! Auctions. Before we list your item we ask that you
provide a valid credit card to verify your account. We require this information from all sellers
and from new bidders who participate in multiple auctions simultaneously.

To proceed you'll need a valid credit card (Mastercard, Visa or American Express). Once your
account has been verified, you will be verified to both bid and sell on Yahoo! Auctions.

funny thing is, they have my cc...I pay for geocities space...grrrrrrr...

Ya, I know. It's just so stupid. I was finnaly able to get my credit card on file for auctions by trying to place a lot. It then took me to a place to enter all my info.

The problem was that I use Andale to list my lots and it wouldn't work without having my card on file.

It would be nice if Yahoo would provide links to do things like this. For example: You look up credit card in the help section for Yahoo and it provides all the info on why but none on how. Don't they think about these things when building the pages. Duh

Thanks everyone. I couldn't fer the life of me figure out where that "change category" button was. LOL!!

VeryModern--Rut Roh! Doncha know I'm just a big ole broad full of wind? LOL!! I'm Innercent I tell ya! Innercent!!

But seriously, since my Beloved Amazon has pretty much pushed me and my 615 feedback aside, I'm trying to find a new place to dwell. I'm a Grape without a Vine right now. I've got stuff everywhere! ACK! I'm so coRnfused! I don't know where to belong. Can I hang out with you guys? Can I? Huh? Huh?
Luv,
Grapey

Grapey- heck no I didn't know your were a sweet and luscious grape!

In my mind's eye, you were a tall, angular, long haired kind of hippie looking man in a loose t-shirt and sagging jeans, just hangin' around like a loose tooth.

oh the internet!

I musta been thinking of vine not grape, but I shoulda known better since your name is not heygrapevine. Anyway I thought you had really good ideas back then about selling your supposed / imagined hippie wares so I hitchhiked.

I hope you cotton to Yahoo, the idea of a homeless grape makes me wanna pick, peel and chop some companion fruit and invite you to hop in.

If one already has a Yahoo Wallet, would the cc# already be input for use at Yahoo Auctions, or do they segregate the auctionsite from the rest of YahooShopping Site?

Your Yahoo wallet should be good for all of Yahoo.

Basic auctions are free but you can pay for options such as Featured ads, bold titles, gift icons etc. They will only let you pay for these options with a Y! wallet.

I will probably get the dumbest newbie question of the year award but here goes...

how do I check feedback on a bidder? I've clicked on his name, his number of feedback, and nothing. I've been cruising around Yahoo for the last hour trying to find the place to check feedback.

grapey - clicking on the number next the id oughta do it. I just tried it and it worked. Yahoo is sometimes fickle.

Heygrape
For some reason they don't remove the tag on relists. You don't get charged but to make sure click the bar on the top line where it says Options, then click Billing summary to check your balance. If you click the category it's in you should also see it is not up there with the other feature ads now.

Just got my first 2 payments in from Yahoo sales. I left the feedbacks and I noticed there is a "remove" button on each auction on the closed list. What's that fer?

Another way Yahoo empowers sellers.
If you don't want to deal with the winner - remove 'em. This will prompt a letter to #2 bidder offering the widget. Also, if you leave negative feedback - remove 'em so that they cannot retaliate. I am sure someone will point out that someone can get a new id and torture you, so be aware of that too.

When I neg, I remove and I blacklist and so far no retaliatory negs or problems. Most likely I am only lucky and that's the explanation.

I did remove some gal once for spending 4 mails whining about the cost of priority mail (her widget weighed 1 1/2 lbs nothing could be done). I finally told her no money in the world was worth dealing with her.

"This is why I hate to shop on the internet.... well I guess I'll just have to pay it... not really very fair... I just can't belive it cost THREE TWENNNNNNNTY...."

Oh shut up.

omigawd! Is THAT what that "remove" button is for? How NEAT!

I thought it was just to keep your closed auction list neat and tidy once a deal was all done. Duh! LOL!!

Thanks fer the explanation
