I won three Yahoo auctions via the same seller. Five days after the auctions closed all three were canceled. Yes, canceled, void, does not exist, no URL, no info from Yahoo, no nothing. Unfortunately I had already paid for two of the auctions. I can't even leave neg. feed back for this seller! The seller I'm pursuing through law. But I can't even get Yahoo's attention. You know the routine, I email them, they respond back with something out of the blue, then I reply asking them to read the question again then NOTHING. If I can't get Yahoo to at least acknowledge what they did was wrong, not only will I not bid on their auctions again, I will at least discourage everyone I can from doing so. The links below is the email showing I'm not crazy, I won the auction, the seller ask for (& got) payment, then Yahoo "canceled" the auctions. Any suggestions on getting Yahoo involved? I need to copy the auctions as they were for the law enforcement people.

That's one of the strangest things I've ever seen Dwwilli2. I didn't know an ad could be canceled after it closed successfully.

Did you write the seller as I suggested with a deadline for receipt of goods? Have you heard from him this week?

At least you have the emails to prove the auctions once were there. Hopefully that will be enough for the fraud agencies.

I would take the emails from Yahoo about the canceled ads and click reply on those. Tell them when you click the auction URL in the letter you get an "access denied" error and demand a reasonable explanation, who canceled it and why?

Unfortunately, all you can do is keep writing until you get a satisfactory answer. I'd like to hear the answer myself, it's very unsettling that you can't even post a negative to warn other bidders about this seller.

Thanks Kasmoon, I've already tried that, seems I down to civil action if I want anything out of Yahoo. In the future I will be on ebay or somewhere else. If I do make any progress I will leave you a note here.
Thanks

Sorry about your problems, but realize the same things happen on eBay too, and others....

Because Yahoo does no verification of bidders and next to none of sellers, they have the highest fraud rate of any auction site I know. I have a guide to auctions which I post on my web site. It is free for anyone and I urge all my bidders to read it. It contains tips on how to protect yourself against auction fraud. Go to http://www.mysiteinc.com/yisgood and help yourself. Bottom line: always check the seller's rating before you bid. Make sure seller has been around for a while. Make sure the rating was not caused by self-bidding (as is prevalent on Yahoo) to inflate the numbers.

I would suggest you go to Yahoo Help and if you can't find the BUG section -click any help subject and when it says enough info--say NO and in the problem section of THEIR form - choose BUG--That is the only way to get their attention.
However, Yahoo and Ebay is down now........wait til later.
I do know that if a seller does NOT pay me, I can click on that closed auction -click resubmit and it will erase winner and will relist again. You should check to see if this seller has the SAME item running again. Just in case it is a scam...I really doubt it though- Good luck.

jwpc, Hate to disagree but after some research I could find no way to cancel an auction on ebay without the bidder getting much more info than I did. Also on ebay I would have at least some options, seller info, insurance, etc. On Yahoo I have one, civil action.

yisgood, I LIKE YOUR SITE! Hope you don't mind, not only did I bookmark it I've also told a few others about it.

ioughta, I've yet to be able to make your suggestion work for me, but I will keep trying to get their attention. There is no auctions listed under the sellers Yahoo name. However on ebay there is almost the exact same ad running. To close for comfort for me!

Most of all thanks to each of you!
