For about a week now I have had people emailing me asking for me to send a picture. I go and check my auction and no picture is showing. I have uploaded them, they were there, Where did they go??
If I change the name of the picture and reupload it, the second picture shows, but not the first one.
Anyone else having similar problems?
The one that is not showing now is the first one that I have ever featured. I decided to take the plunge and see how it would work, and no picture. Now what? I don't know, I guess I am paying to feature a blank auction.
Darn it.

Yep. I thought something was wrong with my OS in my laptop but then I returned home and have the same problem with my desktop.
Right now I'm relisting closed auctions and almost all of them show no pix. If you right click the blank space where the pix should be, and select properties, the name of the pix is there and the size is formatted to the secreen properly, but the byte count is -1 bytes.
So I hope you have backups when it's time to relist. You could complain to Yahoo, but there are no people left there...it's all run by computers...and those computers don't like to hear the "bug" word, so be careful what you say.

Yesterday I went thru my 350+ auctions and checked them all. The oldest ones were missing the pictures, about half. I suggest everyone should check all their pics. Melanie

Hi Melanie, did 90 days pass before you re-listed the auctions with the missing pics?
I am trying to figure out the parameters, for when Yahoo eats the pic. Is it random, or purposeful? Some weeks ago there was a 90 day limit placed, where all bets were off on an auction that was idle beyond 90 days. I am wondering if this explains it. On another thread there are posts about making sure to re-list at least once every 90 days (even if you close immediately) to preserve your work.

VeryModern, I went to relist some auctions that finished yesterday. Out of the 3 that I relisted, none of the pictures were showing. So I figured I would just wait and try again today, instead of having to delete and upload all over again.
I did upload a picture again the other day and now instead of one picture of the item, I have two pictures, exactly alike of the item.
I guess that there must be a bug in the yahoo system after they upgraded their site. I sure up they get it fixed soon.

Some of my relists have had the empty picture outline with red X in the upper left corner, so I've had to delete the first photo and upload it again. Other relists have had the photo intact with no problems. I haven't figured out why some and not others, except that the ones with the missing photo MIGHT have ORIGINALLY been listed earlier than those with photo intact.

Hi VeryModern! I relist the next day so no they were not idle auctions. I think the ones missing the pics were the oldest ones. Melanie
