Radh

Not too good, I have listed about 10 items and now I can't load my pictures.
I don't know if it's something with my computer or my server...or Yahoo.

I can load my pictures but my computer crashes when I try to SUBMIT.

Before this I could not sign in.

After this, who knows?

I've been listing off an on all day and I'm on the dreaded aol and have not been having any problems at Yahoo. I sure hope it straightens out for you guys.

Rad and VeryModern, et al:
I think we need to stay over here in our safe place. Those egreed threads are really getting to me. There is no way to understand or try to give a helping hand to the thick headed, ya know?

Anyway, I was thinking, why would we want their competition on our Yahoo anyway? Huh? Think 'bout it. (sheesh, I've got a nerve. I've only been here a week) LOL!!

Grapey: I know what ya mean, and really I'm almost DONE over at TOP. I guess what really got to me was that some people still felt, "But wait! WE are eBay!"

I feel a real responsibility that others not have to undergo some of my experiences, that perhaps a vicarious osmosis can occur, that they realize it is not wise to trust any of these online auction venues, rather only their compatriots, the people who use them.

I noticed your post to me, cuz I had to come on over here and make sure that this little miracle oasis still existed.

Ya know, something, REALLY good happened to me, something really miniscule -- the itsy bitsy straw that broke it all for me and thrust me to dispassionate calm.

What?

When the eBay sent me an invitation to V of C, they got my *name* wrong. I mean I realize I am nothing, absolutely nuthin' in the cosmic scheme of things, much less in the eBay's current goals, but it was like, "H@W dare they permit a typo on such an email?"

SnaP! The cord broke, and the chord became calmly dispassionate.

Almost *done*.

Well I just called Amy "the Amy". LOL!! I think that was my cue to myself that she's pushed me too far and I'm ready to fight back and she's not worth my time or aggravation. That's it fer me. You guys hold down the fort over there if ya want. I'm going back to listing my 10 items per day on Yahoo. I'm up to 90

grapey congratulations on your listing marathon! I am on one myself. Have 160 + now, and one month ago I ran less than 50. I am listing now with my mind on Christmas. What the heck Hallmark premiere is 2 weeks away. I'll be there, deck my Halls and Fa la la.

oh yeah, and on topic - listing is working again.

I don't know where the links to the earlier AW threads are which described the multitude of ways to sabotage auctions. I suspect nowadays, that there are so many fraud organizations interested in criminal activity on the Net, I'd simply refer it all to the authorities.

I know I lost a huge amount of money because of the shennanigans "played"
on me, and the stress of having my entire biz collapse over night, on a dime, has done seemingly irretrievable damage to my health.

I seriously suspect that most of that activity - the auction sabotage - that it has evaporated along with a high percentange of the shilling activity which also evaporated, I suspect, due to the FBI investigation.

Ya know, on another board, people are upset about the BAD publicity that the eBay is getting.... butcha know what? The eBay deserves to be so reported, cuz fraud crimes have happened to real life people and pretending they haven't ain't gonna keep the true reports outta the paper.

It just astounds me. A truth may hurt, but it ultimately hurts less than a falsehood.

Please pay no attention to my chitter chatter, but I really feel there are gonna be some astounding news articles this month, ~shiver~, and it irks me that the eBay never once focused on any of the problems potentially or actually associated with successful sales, cuzza so much of this nonsence, much less outright illegal crap coulda been halted.

Thank gawd there are currently so many venues sprinkled about the Net to list items on, and I think the RETAIL version, the FIRST BID - it's yours, is the only way to go.

Well, I think I got it figgered out, where the most of the lies were born. Omigawd, the eBay is borrrrrring, ya know? But I gotta do one last thing, tomorrow, in RL, I;m calling the fella in charge of what I think the eBay calls, "Customer Management" - it's the dept in charge of the Voice of the Customer or something.

Ya know, I'm simply an olde biddy, and I'd really assumed that much of what I witnessed & experienced was due to youth & inexperience, but no, it was planned and orchestrated and very well financed, and yes, it was dishonorable of the eBay to not stop musing rhapsodasically about the "Community." Tawdry, them corporations are, tawdry and common.

LOL

Over and OUT.

I don't know if you know any of 'em, but I thought you'd at least wanna check it out, in case there's anybody you'd luv to meet in person, ya know?

heygrape: otwa recently moved to chicago, and crystal had the entire staff of honesty over yesterday for a 4th of july bash; i wasn't sure if you knew about the midwestern lunch, or if, indeed, you'd be interested, but i wanted to make sure that you were aware of it, just in case this event would be right up your alley, or if in reading the otwa list of attendees, you noticed someone on the list that you'd just luv to meet in person, cuz you could always email them privately. the event is simply so close to you, and i didn't know if you even knew it was slated to occur.

I'm really disappointed that I didn't know about the 4th of July Bash in Chicago sooner. I would have much rather been there than wasting my day putting up with the Amy/Zina tripe on the udder board.

the 4th of july bash was only for the emloyees of honesty who went to crystals new home, she & jim just moved to chicago. But the midwest luncheon is open to all, and it seems that some people who've signed up are coming from way beyond the midwest.
