I just read in someone's negative feedback a comment that Yahoo had emailed to let him know a seller had blacklisted him from ever bidding on that seller's auctions again. IS THIS TRUE?
Does Yahoo email a bidder when you blacklist him???????????

About 6 months ago I had a seller friend blacklist me then I tried to bid to see what would happen. When I clicked place the bid it said "You are not allowed to bid on this auction". That's it, no email, no explanation. It didn't even say you can't bid on this sellers ads. I figured a bidder might just think of it as a glitch rather than figuring out they are blacklisted.
I have seen plenty of negs saying "I blacklisted you and everyone else should do the same." I wouldn't post it publicly but some sellers do.

I was wondering about that. Haven't had to blacklist anyone yet, but when I eventually do have to it's better to know what's going to happen as a result.

Long ago I learned that posting negative feedback and blacklisting bidders on Yahoo is a waste of time. First they post retaliatory negs. Then they take two minutes to create another phony ID and come right back. Some sellers had an angy bidder come back again and again and completely trash them. Until Yahoo does any verification at all, their system just doesnt work. I have found only one method that works for me. It's more work and probably cuts down my bids but it also cuts down my deadbeats. I have an email link in my auction and I request that all bidders click it upon bidding. New bidders who do not email me have their bids cancelled.
