I don't know if it is me, or if the system has a bug in it, but I simply cannot list an item on Yahoo without getting all tangled up in verifications and if I get verified, I get the same error message like being on a merry -go-round. I have written Yahoo and get form letters back. I wish they would think of a simpler way to do business. Any comments?

I don't know how or where everyone is getting hung up. I just started 2 new id's and had no problems.
On the verification, if I remember right, you just click the email you want as primary - they send an email in 2 seconds with a code and a link. Click the link and web page comes up with the code already entered - you type your password and it is done.
If it is going wacko, I can only guess that it is a temporary problem, and to try again is a short while, because when it works it could not possibly be simpler.
It is true that Yahoo goes buggy in spots routinely. Because it is free and works supremely well most of the time, I find it a very small bother.

I've never had any problems like that with Yahoo & can't advise you what to do. But I had similar problems awhile back when trying to post to Ebay's adults category, so I sympathize. ( I gave up after a few tries because I only had like 2 items to list there & it wasn't worth the frustration.) Under the circumstances it wouldn't be worth it for you to give up trying, so just do what VeryModern suggested- try it again later & see what happens.

That verification thing is a problem tied to your registered email address. When you're signed in under your user name, click on "Account Info", sign in again, and you'll see your "Yahoo! Mail Address" and your "Alternate Email 1" with "(primary)" next to one of them. I think you'll also see "verify" in red letters next to one if it hasn't been verified yet.
If one says "verify", click on it and follow the instructions. That should enable you to list an auction. You'll run into the same problem if you sign up for Yahoo!Wallet and Yahoo!PayDirect, if your email address isn't verified.
