I decided to try a test listing on Yahoo with a buy price. I listed the auction less than 2 hours ago and have a winner! I just received the confirmation email from the buyer. And, no listing or FVF.
When I saw the email from Yahoo I thought I had screwed up the listing and was getting a message about it.
This is an item I listed 3 times on eBay with no bids. It is a nice piece but got lost in the maze and outages. I listed it for the amount I wanted which is higher than the opening amount I had on eBay.
I am not sure if I should be encouraged or if I would be setting myself up for a lot of disappointment when other stuff sits for weeks. But I am going to take this as a good omen.

Congrats! I just bid on and won my first Yahoo Auction and paid already, and got a feedback (this all happened within 10 minutes!). I'm quite proud too! Like so many others, it's time to diversify, and wanted to wet my feet on the buying side first!
Yahoo to both of us!!

Well, I was not too thrilled about even listing an item with a BUY PRICE for fear the bidder would confuse it with a reserve price, but after so many comments on how well they all were doing with auctions going so fast, I thought I'd give it a try.
Last night I listed all my re-submits with buy prices approximately $5 to $25 over my list price (I sell wedding gowns/formals) and within 12 hours I've made $325.00 on one of the auctions. YAHOO! FOR YAHOO!
