When did Yahoo drop the price of Featured Auctions? They did cost .25 per
day, now they are just .10. I will start featuring more now! I LOVE Yahoo!

VeryModern: I tried to use html in my message, before I edited it, but it didn't work. I used the <>tags, but it just showed the tags. In other words it did not take...LOL...Can you or someone tell me what I did wrong?

I am tempted to comment that YAHOO says nothing while making positive changes and another site we all know says much too much while only making things worse.
I will not surcome to that temptation.
If I should be weak and make the comment, please don't read this post.

reston ray:...LOL...I gave up on that other site a long time ago. I was tired of all the "issues" there. Downtimes, etc. Yahoo is the place for me! I LOVE Yahoo!...reston ray.....I know you're tempted, so go ahead and say it....LOLLOL!
Also, several wanted to know how to make links, etc. HTML does not work on this board, it is UBB and here is a link to an AW thread on how to use the UBB:

Hi bopkh, I'm no html expert, but I will say that whenever it doesn't work, it's something I left out. Don't forget to end </bla,bla,bla>. Also, if you are writing font color, it only works for me as <font color=blue> you can space between font and color, but can't space after color. I hate to say it, but e... has a pretty good html mini course.

labbie- thanks for the helpful links! much appreciated!
HOW COOL about the featured prices!
I think I will feature some of my "better" items. I never used to feature anything on any site, and I can't complain about how things sell for me. BUT I think it would be a good thing for everyone if sellers did pay to feature the items they think have real profit potential. For one thing, it will help keep Yahoo fee-free longer so we're not forced to pay a fee for every item we want to sell.
I personally want Yahoo to make money in exchange for the excellent services they give me. A company can't be profitable if they aren't taking in enough in revenue, & awhile back I was reading in the Wall Street Journal that Yahoo was having some financial problems.
At the same time, I do appreciate the free listings on Yahoo. It seems to me that if everyone featured their high dollar items and only continued to list their really low-dollar items unfeatured & fee-free, our sales would improve & we'd also be able to keep Yahoo as a profitable, viable marketplace in which to sell our items.
Way off topic here, but I also occasionally click Yahoo's banner ads. I almost NEVER do that on other sites, but Yahoo actually does have ads that have caught my attention. AND it helps them keep the $$$$ rolling in. It's the least I can do as a satisfied user, YES?
