I'm a new Yahoo user since June. I'm both a buyer and a seller. Since July, I've had 4 sellers tell me that the item that I purchased had been shipped. I never buy insurance because I feel that packages sent thru the post office, are seldom lost. At least in the past! What can I do about it concerning those sellers and in the future? Should I waste the insurance money? The items in question are less than $10 (coins) and the sellers get paid quickly since I use PayPal.

Buy from sellers who have good feedback.
Pay the extra .60 for delivery confirmation.
On low ticket items, insurance is rather worthless. You cant track an insurance package. If it disappears, the shipper has to make a claim and it takes months. The seller can still jerk you around and say he's working on it. With DC, the seller should give you the confirmation number and you can track it yourself on the usps site. I have never had a tracked package disappear.

yeah, I think DC would be the way to go. Just bid 35 cents lower than you normally would to cover the cost, and make sure the seller won't have a problem with buying it for you. (Some sellers don't stand in line at the PO- and DC is something that they would have to stand in line for. Insurance too I believe.)
