Not really. At first I thought I HAD. I was given 1000 + 1 extra for each positive (or so it seemed) and my total was 1028. That was just before the 1st of the month. I had some auctions going and some I was going to launch AFTER the 1st of the month. When Sept rolled around it showed I had 1028 listings available for the month.
I have 7 auctions which I cancelled 1 hour BEFORE they were due to end-NO BIDS SHOWING. I cancelled them on 9/3. They are sitting in the closed file waiting on me to do something with them.
I have 3 current auctions I launched 8/27 for a 10 day run-2 are featured-no auto resubmit on them.
I have 4 more current ones that were automatic resubmits. The original auctions ended WITHOUT sells 9/3 and automatically resubmitted. They were originally launched 8/27 with 2 auto resubmits AND did count AGAINST my total allowed listings for August. On August 31 my total remaining available listings was 983. This correctly reflected my August allotment less the auctions I had submitted AND the automatic resubmits x 2 each. I had launched 15 with 2 auto resubmits and it took 45 auctions OFF my 1028 allowed for August.
My total allowed listings for September is STILL showing 1028. This seems to indicate, accurately, that I have NOT launched any new auctions this month. Now I plan on resubmiting the ones I cancelled Sunday. If I am figuring this out at ALL, my total after the resubmit should be 1021 remaining for September. If I choose to auto resubmit them 2 times each that should bring me down to 1007.
Now I have read somewhere on this board, that if my auctions DID not sell through the 1st time, they would be subtracted from my allowed total for the month. So far that does NOT seem to be the case. UNLESS a cancelled auction is NOT picked up by the system as a NO SELL AUCTION? We shall see.
Have I sufficiently bored everyone? Sorry, I was kinda thinking it through as I typed and got carried away!

Yahoo is offering 10,000 auctions to anyone who can explain the new auction limit system. However, you lose 3 for every person who doesnt understand your explanation. If you try to explain it a second time and the person gets it, you get an extra auction. However, if the person doesnt get it the second time, you lose 3 more. For everyone who likes your explanation, you get an auction, but you lose three for everyone who doesnt like it. All this is only if Y! staff agrees that you explained it correctly. Otherwise you can list only 0 auctions. Now is that clear? Don't answer - I have few auctions as it is.

izzyg :
great I think your veiw sounds about right you have gained 3 listings -1 but only on sunday if its hot and snowy -2 since this was a nonsale before thursday had it been before thursday and featured we would have discounted you 1 more leaveing you with -4 listing for the month.
but dont be upset over this your still in luck you can list as much as you like if you bid to feature it for .10 and if its sells we will credit you 50% which you will notice in your account on sometime in your next life time.
I am in no way connected with yahoo auction promotions but with this in my resume it wont be long now.

What frightens me is that, with the help of the above posters, I think I am starting to understand this program.
Fortunately I also have a great medical plan with long-term inpatient mental health benefits in case this is all just another one of those damm illusions.
PS Please stop making me laugh so hard as I am waking up the neighbors.

It doesn't seem that YAHOO AUCTION RULE-MAKERS have "figured out the Yahoo formula for the seller performance rating" yet, so how are WE supposed to have figured it out???????????????
Brian Fitzgerald, I assume to be the one IN CHARGE of this new program, was quoted a few days ago as saying that featured auctions wouldn't be deducted from your listing limit....but featured auctions being listed right now ARE being deducted from the limit.
Where does that leave us?
Perhaps izzyg and dman3 are CLOSER to the formula than we think????????
reston_ray, I sure hope the neighbors you're waking work at YAHOO, because I for one would like to see them get up out of bed and go fix all the "end date sorting" and "search" glitches!!!

The formula is not important.
As it reads::
On the first of each month if your count is under 1000 it is reset to 1000, (thus the one time initial allocation becomes moot).
During the month the count is decremented on submit, and incremented for a featuring, a successfull close, or a feedback received. If your "YAHOO Seller Performance Rating" is good presumably the increment will run greater than 1. In the absence of sales (or feature fees) expect to be limited to 1000/month, regardless of history.

This morning when I posted some auctions, there was no little red notice about how many auctions I had left! Has anyone else encountered this today. I posted 3 auctions, and nothing on any of them!

I too don't understand! I post 40 a day, and 40 a day end, equaling about 850 running at any time. My SPR rating says I have 1260 going! I think the counter is goofed-up. Has any one noticed that auctions deleted on the 'Auctions Ended page' page are not really deleted? Funny though, 'My Auctions' have the correct # of auctions going. Also the chronilogical order of that site is fouled-up again. Bottom line: The Yahoo Boys must be running around patching holes. With each fix-it, or 'improvement' another interrelated Bug appears in the code.
So... If I have 850 going at any giving time, and none sells, do I have 160 more? or do I have less? I think this was written by lawyers...
